Why Exercise is Important for Men ⛹️

Exercise plays a vital role in keeping Australian blokes healthier, happier and alive for longer. 🧡

In 2018, there were 12.4 million men in Australia—making up 49% of the country’s population.

- 1 in 2 (50%) were sufficiently physically active (includes workplace activity).
- 1 in 4 (25%) did strength or toning activities on two or more days.

Overall, under 1 in 5 (only 17%!) were sufficiently physically active and met the muscle strengthening guidelines. 😕

While the most common reasons given by men for not being physically active are insufficient time because of work or family commitments, lack of interest, age, or ongoing injuries or illness, it’s important to remember that any physical activity is better than no physical activity!

Hi all,

Jess here. What a crazy year so far! I really hope you are all coping ok and if not please reach out to myself or anyone you trust.

The lovely Sophie is due to have her baby in only a few weeks times so we have had to say good bye to her and wish her all the best for motherhood.

Which means I have taken on our program in Kyneton on Mondays and Fridays.

I'm very proud of all you guys and girls that have remained active and continued throughout these messy few months.

While it is so important for us all to continue to be active and improve our health and immunity we also want you to continue to be safe while doing it.

As it stands (at this moment) the gym is still only open for our health/exercise program. Please remember to bring your masks to your sessions and sanitise on entry.

Our business relies a lot on word of mouth referrals so if you know of any other vets in the community or anyone that might benefit from Exercise Physiology (ex service or not) please pass on my number 0427908010 that would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to continuing to help you reach you health goals.

🎯A great illustration from that helps address a very common clinical misconception about the relationship between knee joint noise (crepitus) and the development of pathology.

🤕Almost every day in the clinic, I meet someone who is concerned about a noise that their body is making. The knee is one of the most common areas of concern as the joint behind our kneecap (patellofemoral joint) commonly makes popping and clicking noises.

🧠It is extremely important that people understand that noises from the knee are usually not associated with pathology and may actually be a sign of a healthy, well-lubricated joint. let’s be careful not to make people feel bad about their knee noise as it can negatively influence how they view their body!

✅So, if your knees are noisy and you don’t have pain, don’t worry about them. The noise is most likely due to the movement of fluid behind the kneecap and is not an indicator of a developing joint problem.
