As a dedicated support worker, I’ve always believed that the best gift you can give is your time and care. I often wish I had a magic wand to help everyone I meet, but in my work, I've found that the simple act of listening and supporting someone can be just as powerful. The rewards of helping others are immense-seeing the joy on someone's face as they achieve a personal goal is a feeling I wouldn't trade for anything. It’s why I love what I do.

I'm so proud to be part of the Authentic Care team. We’re a family, really, and their support for both staff and the people we help is incredible. In the field of disability support, having a strong, compassionate team around you makes all the difference.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me in my garden. There’s a certain peace in nurturing plants and watching them grow. It's much like the journey of supporting others. I also love the thrill of metal detecting-you never know what treasure you might find. But my greatest treasures are my four incredible children. Raising them has been my proudest achievement, and watching them become wonderful adults has been the most rewarding part of my life.

Hello, my name is Angelina, but you can call me Nina. I am proud to be one of the Team Leaders here at Authentic Care. I'm also a proud parent of two wonderful children, Kenneth and Patricia. Kenneth is a CPA, and Patricia is a Paramedic.

I was born and raised in the Philippines, and I came to Australia in 1997, believing in the power of "love is in the air." Moving to Australia was a significant step for me, and the cultural differences were a big challenge. However, with my husband's help, I slowly adapted to my new life.

In the Philippines, I was a midwife and worked in the surgical complex, including the operating and delivery rooms. When I moved to Australia, I worked in aged care for 18 years, and I truly enjoyed my time there.

Later, I had a change of heart and moved to the disability sector, where my true passion lies in making a difference in the community. As a professional, my main goal is to support people with disabilities, whether their needs are physical or mental. I am dedicated to making a positive impact on their lives, no matter how complex their needs are.

The positive impact I can make on the lives of those I support is what motivates me the most. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with Authentic Care and contribute to the well-being of others.

Hi, I'm Lancelot, and I am a people person who will help with whatever is needed. Especially in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and those dealing with depression and anxiety issues. I have expirance with all animals big and small, due to always living and caring for horses and other animals.

My goal is to show empathy and understanding to help reach their goals. I am able to recognise. I am able to work with any client of any age.
My passion for this work comes from both, me helping family members with their own struggles (both my brothers are on the spectrum). Also I have been diagnosed with ASD. My diagnosis enhances my worklife, not detracts from it.

I intend to help people with their empowerment and personal growth. From assisting with routines, to encouraging social connection, ensuring each clients voice is heard. I am glad to be a member of this team.

As a proud mum of three beautiful children, I’m a spiritual person who truly values kindness, compassion, and building meaningful connections. It was through these personal values that my passion for support work was ignited.

My journey into disability support began in a very personal way while caring for my father. That experience was transformative, and I discovered how profoundly rewarding it is to help others live with dignity, independence, and joy. It showed me firsthand the incredible impact that dedicated and authentic support can have on a person's life.

Before joining Authentic Care, I gained valuable experience working as both a phlebotomist and a childcare educator. My time in these roles taught me the importance of attention to detail, patience, and a nurturing approach—skills I am thrilled to bring to my work as a support worker.

Hi, my name is Karen and I love my role as a Support Worker. I've been dedicated to this rewarding career since 2012 and from my very first day, I've thoroughly enjoyed helping clients with everything from everyday tasks to attending medical appointments and getting them out into the community to socialize and live life to the fullest. Making people's days a little easier and seeing them thrive brings me immense joy.

I hold a Cert IV in Disability, which underpins my ability to provide dedicated care. Since working in this industry, I’ve found so much joy in assisting and caring for my clients making it the most rewarding career a person could pursue.

Being relatively new to Queensland, I enjoy getting out and about to discover everything this beautiful state has to offer. In my spare time, you'll find me exploring special attractions, markets, shows, the beach and trying out new cuisines. I also love spending quality time with my family and my two toy poodles. I'm currently even trying to learn how to clip them myself! My hobbies include gardening, home decorating, watching true-story movies and of course, a bit of shopping.

My background as a Philippine-Australian, born and raised in the Philippines, has shaped much of who I am. I'm able to communicate in English, Tagalog, and Native Bisaya which is incredibly valuable for connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and ensuring everyone feels understood and supported. My large family-as a mother of three, a grandmother of four and having grown up as one of eleven siblings-has instilled in me a profound appreciation for strong connections and the vital importance of a supportive community.

I'm Rogelina and I'm happy to be a Support Worker here at Authentic Care, bringing my Filipino background and passion for care to the role. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people, thanks to being fluent in Filipino, Tagalog, and English. This really allows me to bridge gaps and make everyone feel understood and cared for. My drive to help others stems directly from my heritage; it's a beautiful part of Filipino culture to genuinely love taking care of our elders, our families and simply anyone who needs a helping hand. This natural desire to support individuals is truly what motivates me in all that I do.

When I'm not busy making a difference in the lives of those I support, you can bet I'm finding ways to relax and enjoy myself. My favorite pastimes include diving into a good movie, enjoying some well-deserved retail therapy or best of all, spending quality time and having adventures out and about with my wonderful grandsons. I'm proud to be fluent in both Maori and English, which allows me to connect deeply and meaningfully with a wide range of individuals.
