Alison has always been a carer. 🥰

As a mother of children who live with medical complexities and disabilities, Alison’s life had always been filled with love, advocacy and dedication.

But when her health took a dramatic turn and her life changed, she suddenly needed the care she had always provided to others.

‘I went from being a full-time carer to a person requiring care for all my activities of daily living, and yet my sons still needed my support,’ she said.

‘I may live with a spinal cord injury, but I’m still me,’ she says. ‘I’m still a mother. I’m still a carer. I’m still someone who loves fiercely and fights hard for the people I care about.’

Nick accelerates through life with creativity, charisma, drive and humour.

Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, Nick has been a lifelong pillar of the motor vehicle industry. Racing through the ranks in his family's dealership to become sales manager, he sold almost 300 new cars in one year, earning him the Gold Leader Award in the Toyota Sales Society.

The same year he opened his own dealership, Nick accessed the NDIS to help assist him with daily tasks, mobility, and safety.

'Overnight, a life that I didn’t know existed was opened up to me … If I didn’t have the NDIS, my life would be vastly different.'
