This also helps you achieve a greater understanding of your own body, your own needs and your own patterns and empowers you to make the right choices for your health. In my practice I help people create Optimal Health across the Lifespan all the way from optimising fertility naturally with preconception health, creating naturally healthy kids to creating longevity as we age using food, herbal medicines, quality supplements and lifestyle advice.

Most of us have tried a diet, exercise plan or lifestyle change that worked for someone else but didn’t quite give us the same results.

One reason for this is that our bodies don’t all respond in the same way, and a lot of that comes down to our genes.

Fitgenes DNA profiling is a genetic test that looks at more than 200 genes and gives you detailed reports on areas like metabolism, vitamin needs, inflammation, cardiovascular health and more. Instead of guessing what your body needs, you can use this information to make choices that are more aligned with your own biology.

It’s not about predicting disease, it’s about building a personalised foundation for better health and longevity.

As a fitgenes practitioner, I love using this information to guide you on the best path forward for your body and it's individual needs. If you have any questions about the fitgenes testing, drop them in the comments section below!

The Health Reset is a kickstart, but the real magic happens when you keep weaving those practices into your daily life.

Simple, natural remedies can also become anchors for long-term health and vitality:

🍵 Herbal teas to calm the nervous system and support digestion
🌱 Daily movement that gets your blood and lymph flowing
🥗 Nourishing foods rich in micronutrients
☀️ Sunlight and grounding to keep your body clock in rhythm
💊 Targeted supplements where your body needs extra support, always with the guidance of your practitioner

These aren’t optional extras, they’re the foundation that keeps your energy steady, your immune system strong, and your mind clear as you move through the seasons of life.

If you'd love to learn more about this, my DM's are open,

Kirsty

I'm really looking forward to starting the Health Reset with you tomorrow.

One of the pillars that we look at in the reset is getting back into alignment with natural rhythms.

Our bodies crave rhythm and alignment with the natural world. When we live closer to nature’s cues like the sunrise, sunset and eating seasonal foods —we give our hormones, digestion, sleep, and energy a chance to fall back into balance.

▪Waking with the light helps set your circadian rhythm.
▪Eating with the seasons provides the nutrients your body needs right now.
▪Taking breaks outdoors reduces stress and restores mental clarity.
▪Aligning with nature supports long-term health and longevity.

Here are a few simple ways to start realigning this week:

☀️ Step outside and get 5 minutes of morning sunlight.
🥦 Swap in seasonal veggies at dinner each night.
🌙 Create a gentle wind-down routine before bed—dimming lights, no screens, maybe a book or herbal tea.

The Health Reset is about gently bringing your body back into this alignment, so you can move from just getting by to feeling energised, grounded, and connected again. Something we all strive for.

We spend so much time rushing, scrolling, juggling tasks, and living indoors that our bodies can feel completely out of sync. Grounding, simply connecting your bare feet to the earth, can be one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to recalibrate.

▪It helps regulate stress hormones
▪Supports better sleep and circadian rhythm
▪Reduces inflammation
▪Restores a sense of calm and presence

In the Health Reset, grounding is one of the practices we focus on. Just 5–10 minutes a day outside, whether you're standing on the grass, walking barefoot on the earth, or gardening with your hands in the soil, can signal to your body that it’s safe to rest, repair, and thrive.

It’s free, it’s accessible, and it’s one of the best tools to bring your body back into balance.

Doors to the Health reset close today, and I can't wait to see you on the inside!

Think of morning light as your body’s natural on switch.

When sunlight hits your eyes and skin early in the day, it sends signals to your brain that ripple through your whole body. One of the biggest effects of this is in your Metabolism.

Morning light boosts cortisol (the good kind, the one that gives you energy), which helps your body use food for fuel instead of storing it.

Sunlight exposure helps regulate blood sugar by syncing your circadian rhythm with your eating times — so your body knows when to burn and when to rest.

Consistent natural light exposure improves mitochondrial function (your cells’ energy factories), making metabolism more efficient overall.

Start your day with at least 10 minutes outside — no sunnies, no glass windows. Just you, the sky, and the sun. Your metabolic health will thrive with this daily wake up call.

Light isn’t just about mood. It’s free, daily medicine for your energy and metabolism.

🌿✨ Reduce Your Toxic Burden for Vibrant Health ✨🌿

One of the most powerful steps you can take for vibrant health is reducing your toxic load. Every day we’re exposed to chemicals through food, water, air, products, and even our homes. Over time, these exposures can drain your energy, affect digestion, and leave you feeling less than your best.

Here are 5 simple swaps I recommend as a Naturopath:

🌱 Choose Clean Foods – Seasonal, local wholefoods over processed and packaged. Nourish with fresh, nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. Shop at farmers markets, organic co-ops or organic box deliveries.
💧 Purify Your Water – A quality filter supports your body’s detox pathways.
🏡 Create a Non-Toxic Home – Natural cleaning products + glass or stainless-steel storage over plastics.
💄 Check Personal Care Products – Avoid parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. Your skin absorbs what you put on it!
🌬️ Breathe Cleaner Air – Ventilate daily, add houseplants, or consider an air purifier.

✨ Small, intentional changes like these make a huge difference to how light, clear, and energised you feel.

And if you’re ready to take it further… 🌸
My 14-Day Health Reset starts Monday 15th September — a guided program to help you reduce toxic load, reset your digestion, and boost your energy this spring.

Most of us roll out of bed, turn on the lights, drive to work under a roof, sit inside all day, then head home to yet more artificial light.

The problem is that your body runs on light cues from the sun and moon. Without natural light, your hormones, energy, and even sleep timing start to drift. That’s why so many people feel wired at night and sluggish in the morning in our modern world.

The fix to this isn’t complicated:

Step outside within 30–60 minutes of waking (yes, even if it’s cloudy).

Have your morning coffee or breakfast outdoors if you can.

Take a quick walk break during the day, in your lunch break if you can —your brain and metabolism will thank you.

It’s not about “more” to do. It’s about swapping indoor light for real sunlight.
Your body knows the difference, and your sleep, mood, weight, immunity and more will be so much more balanced and happier with natural light in your life.

I'd love to hear if you notice a difference when you try this, let me know in the comments below!

Morning Light for Healthy Hormone Balance & Metabolism

Have you had your sun break today?

Here’s the thing, sunlight isn’t just about mood, it’s a form of medicine.

The Morning sunrise has Infrared + UVA light. When this hits your eyes and skin, it signals to your brain “it’s time to wake up”. It also sets your circadian rhythm for better sleep at night, boosts your metabolism, and helps your body know when to make the right hormones.

Midday sun is different to morning sun– UVB at midday is where the magic of Vitamin D happens, supporting your bones, immune system, and mood.

Evening/dusk light is different again – This type of light gently signals to your brain to start winding down and produce melatonin for restful sleep.

It’s not just about avoiding screens at night, it’s about actually getting the right light at the right time. Think of light as fuel for your hormones, blood sugar balance, and energy.

A healthy daily light diet looks like this: A morning walk or cuppa outside, a few minutes of midday sun on your skin, and an outside pause at sunset. Light is just as important as food and movement for your overall health. 🌞

The 2 week health reset program is coming up on the 15th of September and is a great way to implement all these foundational habits to feeling your vibrant best. See link in comments for all the deets

This week's theme is movement, and what I want you to know is that movement doesn’t need to be a 60-minute gym session to count.

When we look at resetting our health, one of the simplest foundations is weaving more natural movement into your day.

Here are a few easy ways to start doing that:

✨ Park further away and add those extra steps.
✨ Take a 5-minute stretch break between tasks.
✨ Carry your groceries instead of grabbing a trolley when it’s a small shop.
✨ Walk while you chat on the phone.
✨ Squat down to unpack the dishwasher instead of bending from your back.
✨Walk the dog in nature.
The goal isn’t “perfect exercise” — it’s more daily movement that supports your body, digestion, energy, and sleep.

Small, consistent choices add up to a stronger, healthier you!

Want to bring more movement, better sleep and clearer energy into your life? My 14-Day Health Reset starts Sept 15 a guided program to help you feel lighter this spring. See link in comments for more info.

Movement isn’t just about burning calories or hitting fitness goals anymore! It never was, it's a key foundation for your overall health.

When we move our bodies daily, we:

Improve circulation, which helps nutrients and oxygen reach every cell
Support our lymphatic system to clear waste and toxins
Reduce stress, boost mood and sharpen focus

It doesn’t have to be intense — a walk outside, stretching, yoga, or dancing in the kitchen all count. What matters is making movement a regular part of your routine so your body can function at its best.

Think of it as pressing reset for your energy, mood, and health every single time you move your body. Making it a part of your routine is also a whole lot easier if you choose a type of movement that you really enjoy. A walk in nature, a dance in the loungeroom, a yoga stretch at the end of the day, choose whatever works best for you.

Movement is just one pillar of my SHINE framework — we cover all five inside the Health Reset, starting Sept 15. See link in comments for more info.
