What is ONERO™?
The ONERO™ Program is an evidence-based, targeted, and highly supervised exercise program that is designed to improve bone health in people at risk of osteoporotic fracture and who want to improve their bone health.
ONERO™ has proven positive effects on bone density, muscle development, falls risk and fracture and is the only program of its kind in the world.
It was developed in Australia from the LIFTMOR study, by Professor Belinda Beck, a leading exercise physiologist at Griffith University, Queensland, and published in the Journal of Bone Mineral Research (2018).
The ONERO™ utilises a combination of high-intensity resistance and impact training to stimulate bone growth and improve balance to reduce falls.
Who can benefit from ONERO™?
Individuals with osteopenia or osteoporosis
+ anyone seeking to ensure strong and healthy bones in later life
Post menopausal women & men with low to very low bone mineral density
Those at risk of poor bone health
Due to certain treatments and medications such as cancer therapy – both men and women
Those who want to reduce their fracture risk
…while improving strength, balance, and overall quality of life
How ONERO™ works
This program is simple to learn and execute whilst supervised by our highly experienced physiotherapists who have undergone specialised training to guide you through your exercises. Regular participation of twice a week for 45 minutes, is key to achieving these results and sustaining long-term bone health
