With the extreme heat we’re experiencing, it’s really important to take extra care of yourself and those around you — especially our elderly community members.
Tips to stay cool and safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don’t feel thirsty
🧊 Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day
🪟 Use air-conditioning or fans where possible
👕 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
🌞 Avoid strenuous activity in the heat
👵 Please check on elderly family members, friends, and neighbours — a quick phone call or visit can make a big difference. Older people are more vulnerable to heat-related illness and may not always feel thirsty or notice the warning signs.
If you or someone you care for needs advice on hydration, cooling products, or managing medications in the heat, our team is here to help.
