The Boab tree arrived today and was carefully delivered and craned into place. Did you know the Boab is known for its strength, presence and longevity? For us, it's also a symbol of growth, connection and life to be lived.

Megan Brookes and Max Hitchins were there bright and early to witness the installation.

And this afternoon, to celebrate the Amara team and residents gathered for a relaxed lunch at The Diddy to welcome the weekend and continue the community gatherings that are such an important part of life at Amara. Good food, great conversation and that sense of belonging that makes all the difference.

As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting with gratitude on the community that continues to grow around Amara. It’s been a fantastic year, filled with resident events that have helped us build a warm, welcoming, and friendly community, even before doors open.

We proudly sponsored the Lane Cove Rotary Fair, brought together experts in retirement living for a Seniors Living Workshop at The Alcott, and strengthened our partnership with Gallery Lane Cove — a wonderful opportunity to support local artists and be inspired by their creativity. Thank you, Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Studios for your enthusiasm and collaboration.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to organise Christmas festivities at Amara next year as we prepare to open in April 2026. And just last month, we celebrated Pathways Longueville opening its doors and welcoming new residents — a milestone for our entire team.

It’s been a busy and rewarding year.

What a fantastic day!

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of facilitating a Seniors Living Workshop organised by Amara Residences. Residents and future residents spent the day hearing from expert speakers on design, legal considerations, selling and downsizing, technology, health and wellbeing, and how to navigate the move into a lifestyle community with confidence.

The engagement and questions were outstanding — it’s clear people are thinking deeply about their next chapter and the benefits of living in a supportive, connected seniors living environment.

With Lane Cove now named the Most Liveable Community in Australia, interest in Amara Residences is growing — and for good reason.

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have shaped our lives with strength, wisdom, and love. Father’s Day is a time to reflect on those moments shared around the table, laughter in the living room, and the small acts of care that leave lasting memories.
