As we say goodbye to January and welcome in February, our residents enjoyed a full weekend of fun, games, and smiles.
The weekend was packed with a great mix of activities including word games, bingo, bocce, and other active games to keep everyone engaged and moving. We even had a little pet therapy thrown in, which brought plenty of joy.
It was a wonderful way to wrap up the month—filled with laughter, friendly competition, and meaningful moments together at Langwarrin Community Aged Care .

This afternoon we turned up the fun with a lively Happy Hour filled with karaoke singing, thanks to the wonderful Brian and David.
Our residents had a great time singing along and enjoying the cheerful atmosphere. Light refreshments were also enjoyed as everyone relaxed and joined in the fun.
A lovely afternoon full of music, smiles, and good company.

We enjoyed a wonderful Australia Day celebration at Langwarrin Community Aged Care , filled with good food, fresh air and great company. A big thank you to Catering Industries and their dedicated team for providing a special Australia Day menu that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
With the beautiful weather on our side, some residents headed outdoors to soak up the warmth, play a friendly ball game and spend time together sharing plenty of laughs. It was a relaxed and happy day, celebrating community, connection and all things Aussie.

This afternoon our home was filled with music, smiles and plenty of toe-tapping as residents enjoyed a fun afternoon of line dancing.

A huge thank you to the lovely ladies from Cheyenne On Queue Line Dancing who so generously donated their time to come and share their talents with our residents. A special moment was seeing two of our residents, who have been practising with our wonderful Wellbeing staff member Michelle, proudly join the group and perform together.
It was a joyful afternoon of music, movement and laughter, and everyone had a fantastic time 🎶✨

Today at Langwarrin Community Aged Care , we celebrated Australia Day, beginning with a moment of reflection to remember the victims of the Bondi tragedy. As today is the National Day of Mourning, “Light Will Win”, we came together in unity and remembrance. 🇦🇺
Following this, families, friends, staff, and residents gathered to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon together. Residents participated in several active games, poems were read, Australia Day trivia was held, and our wonderful volunteer cooked our famous sausage sizzle, enjoyed alongside cold beverages.
It was a joyful day filled with smiles, laughter, well-known Australian music, and a strong sense of community.

We’re getting into the Australia Day spirit while putting up decorations around our home. Our memory support residents recently made fairy bread into the shape of Australia to enjoy.
It’s wonderful to see smiles, creativity and a real sense of togetherness as we prepare to celebrate all things Aussie.
