With Easter just around the corner, our residents at Langwarrin Community Aged Care have been getting creative in the sweetest way.
From rolling out fondant to choosing their colours and designs, everyone enjoyed decorating delicious Easter cookies. Each creation was unique, with residents making treats to either share with friends or keep for themselves.
A fun and colourful activity that brought plenty of smiles (and a little bit of sweetness) to the day!

This week we celebrated Greek Independence Day in style 🇬🇷

Our home was filled with blue and white decorations as residents embarked on a wonderful armchair travel experience to Greece. From the comfort of their chairs, they explored the beauty, culture and rich history of this incredible country.
The celebration was made even more special with a delicious taste-testing of popular Greek foods, bringing authentic flavours right to our doorstep. There were smiles all around as everyone shared in the experience, stories and traditions of Greece.

Our home was filled with warmth and connection during our wool group.

A wonderful mix of residents, Wellbeing staff, volunteers, and work experience students came together to share stories, ideas, and plenty of show and tell. Beautiful creations were brought to life, with each stitch carrying its own special story.

It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful simple connections can be.

Our residents are exploring the world without leaving their chairs!

Through the magic of Virtual Reality, we’re travelling far and wide, proving the possibilities are truly endless. From up-close encounters with Jane Goodall’s incredible primates to experiencing some of the most breathtaking wonders of the world, today’s adventures were unforgettable.
A big thank you to SilVR Adventures for helping us bring these amazing experiences to life. At Langwarrin Community Aged Care, the world really is at our feet.

This week has featured a diverse range of activities such as pet therapy, gardening, a luncheon at the Frankston RSL, happy hour, an afternoon Irish tea with biscuits, a Hoy card game, and a scenic bus tour for our Banksia residents. We anticipate an equally engaging schedule for the rest of the week.

We had a lovely visit from Anne at Langwarrin Community Centre, who came to spend time with our wonderful wool group 🧶
Anne generously donated a range of beautiful handmade items, including blankets, arm fidgets and comfort chickens. These will be put to great use across our home — with the blankets keeping residents warm on bus trips during the cooler days, and the arm fidgets and comfort chickens providing comfort and engagement for our residents in Banksia.

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2026 at Langwarrin Community Aged Care ! 🍀

Today was filled with laughter, connection and plenty of Irish spirit as we celebrated together. We had a full house for our armchair travel experience to Ireland, where residents enjoyed exploring the beauty, culture and charm of the Emerald Isle—without leaving their seats!
Our home was bursting with green, smiles and festive fun throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and embracing the spirit of the occasion.
A truly joyful day shared with our amazing residents.
