Observed each year on May 12th, International Nurses’ Day honours the birthday of Florence Nightingale and recognises the compassion, dedication, and care nurses provide every day.

To all our wonderful nurses and staff, thank you for the kindness, comfort, stability, and support you bring to the lives of our residents. Your hard work and genuine care are deeply appreciated by our entire community.

Today, our residents enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration with a delicious special menu lovingly prepared by the team at Catering Industries.

It was a wonderful opportunity to honour and celebrate all the mothers, grandmothers, and motherly figures within our Langwarrin community. Wishing everyone a very happy Mother’s Day filled with love, cherished memories, and special moments together.

Over a few weeks, we are celebrating our wonderful Langwarrin community with a beautiful and elegant wedding display in our foyer. Featuring treasured photographs, wedding dresses, and heartfelt memories, the display has sparked many meaningful conversations and moments of reminiscence among residents, families, staff, and visitors alike.

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful High Tea this week, filled with warm conversation, reminiscence, and plenty of laughter. Over tea, treats, and wonderful company, many special memories and stories were shared, creating a truly heartwarming afternoon for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to Catering Industries for the delightful high tea menu, and to all the staff who helped make the afternoon such a lovely success.

Our High Tea preparations are well underway, with our creative residents enjoying time in the garden picking fresh flowers and creating beautiful table centrepieces.

With teamwork and plenty of creativity shared along the way, the arrangements are now ready for our High Tea celebrations, which will be held over two days this week.

This week, in celebration of the beautiful mothers, grandmothers and special women in our home ahead of Mother’s Day, we created a very special photo shoot experience.

With sparkling tiaras, diamonds, pink tulle and beautiful props, there were smiles, laughter and many precious moments shared throughout the week. More than just photos, these sessions were about making our residents feel celebrated, valued and truly special.

It was heartwarming to see confidence and joy shine through in every photo as we honoured the wonderful people who make our community so special.
