📻 Tune in today!

Join Tina and me on The Unexpected Journey today on RPP FM from 1–2pm.

Unfortunately our guest is unable to join us this week, but the conversation will definitely continue. Tina and I will be diving further into the NDIS changes that we started discussing with Sandi Grace from Grace Professional Services on last week’s show.

There has been a lot of information shared recently, including the proposed four-step framework starting with:
• Notice of Impairment
• ICAN assessment (Independent Clinical Assessment Network)
• Plan building
• Then families beginning to use their plans

We’ll be unpacking more of what we know so far, sharing our thoughts, and discussing what these potential changes could mean for families navigating the NDIS.

If you have questions or thoughts about the upcoming changes, we would love to hear from you.

🎙️ Tune in from 1–2pm today!

What a great show today on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio with Tina Naughton and I bringing you another episode of The Unexpected Journey 🎙️💙

We had the pleasure of speaking with Sandi Grace from GRACE Professional Services, and wow… there was so much important information shared around the upcoming changes within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

We spoke about what has been shared so far regarding the new framework plans and what families and participants can expect moving forward. The process is expected to follow four key steps:

✨ A Notice of Impairment
✨ An Independent Capacity Assessment Needs (ICAN) Assessment
✨ The plan being built
✨ Families and participants beginning to use their new plans

There is still a lot to learn, but it was fantastic to unpack what we know so far and have these real conversations. Importantly, these changes are not expected to start rolling out until next year, giving people some time to prepare.

If you missed the show, let me know and I will organise a copy for you to listen back to 📻

A huge thank you to Sandi for coming into the studio. Tina and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with our community 🤍

Another great show on RPPFM - Your Peninsula Radio today with Tina Naughton and I, and as always we covered some really important conversations 💙

We shared updates around Special Olympics, chatted about the NDIS, Darcy’s very special Valentine’s moment, and Tina gave an update on her VCAT application. Real life, real conversations, and the things that matter most to our community.

A highlight of today’s show was speaking with Phillipa Eagle about dyslexia, ADHD and her incredible book ‘A Life Misunderstood’. Such an interesting and insightful chat, and honestly, Tina and I could have kept talking with her for another hour. Thank you Phillipa for sharing your story and your knowledge with us.

Follow Phillipa at Dyslexia at the Tirinui Learning Cafe 📕

Be sure to tune in again next week when we welcome Sandi Grace to the show to talk all things NDIS changes. Lots to unpack and you won’t want to miss it.
