It may be getting towards the end of winter but there still seems to be a lot of viruses hanging around. This herbal tea recipe is one I've shared before and has worked well for my family. The key is to get onto it as soon as you feel the first sign of a cold coming on.
**Disclaimer: Please do your own research, make sure you don't have any adverse reactions to the ingredients and that there are no contra-indications to medications you may be taking. I am not a nutritionist/herbalist. **
1 bay leaf (antimicrobial, antibacterial and antiviral)
1 sprig of Sage
Small amount of thyme
1 stick cinnamon (or 1tsp cinnamon powder)
Put the above in a teapot, fill with boiling water, and let it brew.
Add lemon and honey in a mug to your taste and pour the tea on top of this.
Drink many cups throughout the day. Just boil the kettle and top up the tea pot.
Repeat the next day with fresh herbs.
Notice how you're feeling and whether you think your cold was as severe as it usually would have been or maybe it didn’t actually eventuate into a cold at all!
