Time for our What's On In Geelong - The Weekend Wrap! Here’s your Geelong & surrounds itinerary for this Friday, Saturday, Sunday packed with local gems, good food and easy family friendly stops...
Friday: Start your afternoon with a visit to Valley Road Nursery, where you can wander through lush greenery, pick up a few plants and let the kids explore the open space. It’s a calm, feel-good way to kick things off. On your way home, swing past South Side Beer and Wine and grab something new to try! Their curated range of local and Australian drops makes it easy to find a great bottle for the night ahead. Wrap it up with a relaxed dinner out at Franca's Ristorante for something a little special, or keep it casual with a local pub feed at Sphinx Hotel Geelong.
Saturday: Start the public holiday by attending one of the many ANZAC Day services happening across our region. Jump on the council website for all the info. Then, make a day of it and head down the coast for the Sorrento Writers Festival where you’ll find author talks, creative sessions and a great atmosphere for a wander (perfect for older kids and teens too). On the way back, treat the family to a stop at Moorabool Valley Chocolate, because no weekend is complete without chocolate! Finish the day with an easy takeaway dinner from Silver Spoon...you’ve earned it.
Sunday: Keep Sunday relaxed with a cafe catch-up. Head to Wombat Gully Plant Farm Geelong on site cafe, Fig and Hoe Cafe, for a laid back breakfast or brunch, great coffee and an easy family-friendly vibe. Afterwards, enjoy a walk along the waterfront, hit a local park or wander the aisles and stalls at Geelong Vintage Market. Take it slow and soak up the last of the weekend. Grab your crew, support local and make the most of it… there’s plenty to see, do and eat around Geelong this weekend!
