Physiques like these are quite common in northern Tasmania. And this type of physiques carry with them many serious health risks. Whilst some cases can be ameliorated by incorporating exercise routines &/or putting in changes on dietary habits, some would need surgical procedure(s).

Years ago, those men with 'beer guts' who joined us in Taekwondo trainings would in due time lose those 'beer guts' and would have flat abdomens instead. I didn't pay much attention to details because those were the norms. However, one case drew my attention. So it was like this. On day 1, he was 126kg. On day 36, he got to 115. Back then, we only had one training per week.

Another case, a woman confided in me that she hates the look in the mirror regarding her body etc etc. After listening to her answers to my questions, I gave her a few simple advices that she.could adhere to. 6 - 7 weeks later, she phoned me and told me that she lost 9kg. And she's very, very pleased.

True knowledge is power. Application of true knowledge will improve one's quality of ife.

I have been doing casual works in LGH and other hospitals in northern Tasmania since 2005. Initially, it was quite a shock to come across so many people who are in such physical conditions within such short period. But I soon settled to that because that's to be expected because that's where people who are physically unwell go to seek medical helps/treatments.

Over the years, via different avenues, people come to know about certain skills that I possess that are able to help them where modern medicines don't quite cover. Thus began my occasional casual endeavours.

At times, some people wish to move beyond their perceived over dependent on pharmaceutical products for dealing with physical pains. So they come to me.

Every case is different. In many cases I worked to trigger human body's innate abilities to self-correct/self-heal by working on their meridian channels in accordance to the theory of Qi according to the TCM.

I have those skill sets because I have learnt and practised so much on traditional methods such as acupressure, Tuina-Anmo (massage), and medicinal food. Over the years, I have been able to help people restore proper use of their limbs, and also movements of their heads and hands. And also improve their health and well-being where conventional modern medicine haven't quite help to fuller extents. And in most cases I also help by removing aches and pains through certain physical manoeuvres with them so that they can lead normal lives instead of dependent on painkillers for day to day living.

I started learning about traditional methods since my boyhood through personal experiences and immersion in that environment. Later on, as an adult, through diligent studies, I amassed more experience and skills. So when someone offered to help me set up my own practise in a formal way, I seized the opportunity. So here is where I am.

Massage and acupressure treatments for releasing of pains and aches are just some service we provide. The theory according to TCM is that pain is a way of body telling one's conscious mind that something is wrong. Injury or blocked qi generates pain. At times hinder one's free movements.
Whilst analgesic has its place, it only masks or dulls the pain. But not actually directly contributes to healing. That's where our service comes in.

I can also provide guidance on how and what to do so that one can improve one's health and physical condition, abilities, and physique. One of the pictures below is a demonstration of one's physical capabilities if one looks after one's health and adhere to certain basic rules.

15 days ago, I watched on YouTube a talk sponsored by Garvan Institute. In the presentation, the speaker presented data collected over several decades illustrate that those being overweight-obese at age 40 on average die 7-8 years earlier compare to those of healthy weight range. The speaker then continued on data collected from hospitals regarding type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular, coronary etc, and also from oncology, cardiology and other departments, across Australia's hospitals on recovery and mortality rates etc. And this gave me an idea... Due to current global pandemic of Covid-19 and also flu season in cold temperate zones in Australia, this information may come in handy.

Prunella vulgaris - also known as 'heal-all', is a versatile herb that has many purposes. I'll attach a link later. So you can read up more if you're interested.

Here's what it looks like.
It comes in a pack. Can be purchased from Tsing Wah Asian Grocer on York Street.

How to use.
1. Take out 1/4 of the content of the pack and place in a pot.
2. Put water into the pot to rinse off dust.
3. And then pour into a strainer.
4. Put the dried herb back into the pot. Fill the pot with water. Turn on the stove. Use lowest best setting.
5. Depending on the stove, time needed will vary. Eventually, you'll smell the unique smell in the air carried by the steam. Leave the stove on for about 10-15 mins. And then turn the stove off. And let the medicinal properties continuing releasing into the water. And then it is ready to be consumed.

You can pour the tea into a thermo-flask to keep the temperature longer. Or simply let it cool down and drink it at room temperature. 1 cup every 4 hrs is about right.

You can mix in honey or raw sugar solution. According to taste.
