One of our peer workers, Amelia, was proud to represent our team at the Tasmanian Alcohol and Other Drugs Conference 2025 in nipaluna/Hobart recently!
We recognise the strong crossover between AOD and mental health, and we’re always working to improve the support we offer our community. It was a valuable opportunity to learn from those with lived and living experience, and to connect with services and organisations committed to building more integrated, person-centred care across both sectors. 💚
A big thank you to the Alcohol To***co and other Drugs Council (Tas) for hosting such a powerful event. One day of the conference coincided with the Global Day of Action, 'Support. Don’t Punish'- a timely reminder of the importance of compassionate, evidence-based responses to AOD use.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Bianca Templar, a proud truwulway/bunurong woman, social worker, and the artist behind Takamuna rrala designs, to spend time with our team yesterday.

Bianca shared her cultural knowledge, insights from her work in community and industry, and meaningful ways we can support and engage with the local First Nations community. Her visit was an invaluable opportunity for us to listen, learn, and reflect on how we can continue to build culturally respectful and informed practices.

We're deeply grateful for her time, generosity, and the wisdom she shared!

Happy NAIDOC week! 🖤💛❤️
