National Close the Gap Day is a time to recognise the ongoing work needed to achieve health equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme is Community Voices: The Pathway to Justice, Equality and Healing, which highlights the importance of Indigenous leadership, lived experience, and community-led solutions.

Real progress happens when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices are heard, respected, and centred in decisions that impact their communities.🧡

Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity and the many backgrounds, languages and traditions that make our communities stronger.

This year’s theme, Everyone Belongs, reminds us of the importance of creating communities where all people feel respected, valued and included. A sense of belonging plays an important role in our wellbeing and helps build stronger, more connected communities.

This week, take a moment to learn about another culture, start a conversation, or reach out and make someone feel welcome.

Together, we can help create communities where everyone belongs. 🧡

Today is World Sleep Day! 💤

Sleep plays a vital role in our mental health and wellbeing. When we’re well rested, it’s easier to manage stress, regulate emotions, concentrate, and cope with the challenges of everyday life.

If sleep has been difficult lately, small changes can help - like keeping a regular sleep routine, limiting screen time before bed, and creating a calm, comfortable sleep environment.

If ongoing sleep difficulties are affecting your wellbeing, you’re not alone and support is available. 💚

Quick Tip Tuesday 🌿

When emotions feel overwhelming, one simple step can help - name what you’re feeling.

Instead of “I feel bad,” try getting specific.
Research shows that labelling emotions can reduce their intensity and help your brain shift from reacting to responding.

If you’re not sure where to start, use a feelings wheel to explore what might be sitting underneath the surface.
Sometimes clarity can help create calm. 💚

Today on International Women's Day we want to recognise the strength, compassion and leadership of the women in our community - and we’re especially proud to acknowledge the incredible women on our team. Every day, they show up with dedication, empathy and professionalism, supporting others through some of life’s most challenging moments. 💜

This photo only captures just some of the amazing women who make up our team, but we’re grateful for every woman across our service whose work, care and commitment makes a meaningful difference.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the impact of women - in our workplace, in our services, and beyond. 💪

Today is Self-Injury Awareness Day. 🧡

Self-injury is often misunderstood. Awareness matters because stigma can make it harder to seek support. Compassion, understanding and safe conversations can make a real difference.

If this topic resonates with you, or with someone you care about, know that support is available. Reaching out can feel difficult - but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
