I meditated last night for the first time in what feels like ages ! 🧘‍♀️

I have walked past this tree for 20 years and never noticed it before. Yesterday it captured my attention on my morning walk. It’s an Acaia (type of wattle) and is a part of the
Fabaceae family!

What drew my attention? It’s feathery leaves, fluffy flowers, the seed pods and the beautiful varying shades of green!

The power of mindfulness in beginners mind, engaging all the senses and gratitude 🙌

Acacias are resilient in tough climates and are grounded/stable- something I have been trying to cultivate as of late!

Next time you head out for a walk- make a conscious effort to notice what you might have never noticed before or what draws your attention 🌿🍂

It was wonderful to be asked to speak at the local Probus club meeting today on the topics of mindfulness and mindset 🧘‍♀️

I throughly enjoyed a wonderful morning tea with them and then sharing how these things can help in all phases of life ☕️

I even got to catch up with my Grade 6 teacher and was nice to reflect on my journey from then (overachieving perfectionist) to where I am now ✨

What is holistic counselling?

A holistic counsellor is someone who supports emotional and mental wellbeing by looking at the whole person — not just symptoms or problems in isolation. Instead of focusing only on thoughts and behaviours (like traditional talk therapy might), a holistic counsellor considers mind, body, emotions, lifestyle, energy, and spirit as interconnected.

Key principles of holistic counselling:

👉Mind–body connection: Emotional distress can show up physically, and vice versa.
👉Lifestyle matters: Sleep, nutrition, relationships, stress levels, and purpose all play a role.
👉Client-led & empowering: The goal is often to help clients connect with their inner wisdom, values, and strengths.

Limiting beliefs are thoughts, opinions and assumptions about yourself that can constrain your actions, mindset and potential. They often operate subconsciously and create barriers that prevent you from pursing goals, taking risks or reaching your full potential. They can be shaped by childhood conditioning, past experiences and cultural influences!

What are some of your limiting beliefs? “I am not smart enough”, “I don’t deserve this” “Im too old or too young”

It’s amazing that once you identify and address these, the changes in your external world become endless…✨
