What's your favourite exercise or exercises to do? - I love to train my whole body, a variety of exercises throughout the week keeps me excited to come to the gym.

What's your number fitness goal for this year? - To do pull ups.

How often do you train? - 4 times a week.

Do you prefer solo or group training sessions? - I prefer solo, but also love coming to gym to train with my awesome friends.

What motivates you to workout? - Getting stronger, feeling more energised and focussed outside of the gym.

What music do you listen too? - I love to listen to metal when training.

What do you enjoy about AF Burnie?
Would you change anything at AF Burnie? - I love the community, everyone is kind, patient and inclusive. I wouldn't change anything, it is a wonderful gym.

What is one thing you would say or quote to our members to motivate them? - Just get started and be consistent! Don't be afraid to ask for help, everyone started not knowing what they were doing.

Protein comparison 💪 Here is a comparison of the macros of some of our favourite and best selling whey protein blend and whey protein isolate products, along with a break down of the differences between the two 👏🏻

Whey protein blends are a mix of both whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate 🔀 Blends tend to come with a slightly lower protein content, while also having a higher fat and carb content. They also release the protein content slower for a more sustained release than pure whey protein isolates. The reason being is that the whey protein concentrate (WPC) content of the blend is slightly less refined than whey protein isolate (WPI) and takes longer for the body to break down. This makes blends more suitable for uses such as a quick meal replacement if you’re on the go and can’t get a proper meal in 🏃🏽‍♂️Blends are also perfectly suitable for use a post workout protein source supplement ✅

WPI’s (whey protein isolates) are a purer, higher protein yielding source that is more refined and faster acting in the body ✅ Isolates are ideal for stricter comp prep type eating plans with specific macro targets, or great for supplementing higher protein intake when it is unattainable through normal food sources ⬆️ WPI’s usually agree with your tummy more and you’ll notice the more refined whey protein isolates will mix easier if you have experimented with Blends and WPI’s 💪 Isolates are also suited as a fast acting protein source after training 👌
