In 1997 the two existing Riverside pharmacies, one owned by Peter Bond and the other by Donald Calver, amalgamated to form Riverside Capital Chemist. Peter Bond comes from a family of pharmacists and one of the original pharmacies in Riverside was owned by his mother, Ailsa Bond. Upon Ailsa Bond’s retirement in July 1980, Peter bought into the pharmacy. Peter brings a wealth of experience to the pharmacy having being an active pharmacist in Riverside for more than 36 years. Helen O’Byrne joined the Capital Chemist Group as a Pharmacist in 2008 and became a partner at Riverside Capital Chemist in July 2009. Helen also holds a Diploma in Phytotherapy (Medical Herbalism), is registered with the National Herbalists Association and recently gained HMR accreditation. Helen is able to offer advice to those patients wishing to take complementary therapies together with prescription medication. Born in Czechoslovakia, Ivo and his family immigrated to Australia in 1980. Ivo has worked on the Gold Coast and England before settling in Riverside 8 years ago. Ivo commenced at Riverside in November 2008 and 4 years later he joined the partnership in January 2013. Ivo brings experience of having worked under other jurisdictions to the pharmacy, is HMR accredited and a qualified immunising pharmacist. Professional Services
