We celebrate incredible women everyday at Curves. These two warriors, Di Hunt & Maree Morgan, tackled Quamby Bluff, fittingly on March 8th. 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼
The pictures don’t do the views, elevation, or intensity justice we’re sure.
Amazingly the walk will take you through the Bodhicitta Dakini Buddhist Monastery! 🧎🏻‍♀️

Some facts according to the internet:
🌲 Quamby Bluff (1227m), the northernmost peak in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area climbs through tea tree, eucalypt and rainforest.

⛰️ The walk has an elevation gain of around 500m over 3km.

⏰ Time: 4-5 hours return

​🪨 Tracks may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps. Several steep sections of scree need to be crossed.

What if a few small technique changes could make your Curves workout even more effective?

Final day… another 10 hours of training! 🙄
Today we travelled inland to Atherton where the temperature dropped about 4°… a welcome break from the Cairns humidity! 👍

We also had a look at the new Curves club fit-out — bright, colourful and filled with inspiring messages on every wall.

But the real focus of this week has been learning ways to help our members get even better results.

We were shown refined techniques on the machines — small adjustments in posture, positioning and range of movement that can make a big difference to muscle activation and strength gains.

Sometimes it's not about working harder…
it's about working smarter.

Even small technique tweaks can help you:
• activate the right muscles
• improve strength faster
• protect joints
• get more out of every workout

We stopped on the way to check out a rather decent sized fig tree 🌳 🙃

The training schedule has been intense with very little R&R… but completely worth the trip.

Next step:
Our coaches will be trained next week and we’ll start introducing these techniques in the circuit.
