A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported us on Saturday at the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.

We raised $1,579.20 and served an ungodly amount of sausages and onions. BBQs are officially off our menu's at home for a while.

A massive thank you as well to the businesses who sponsored us and donated supplies to help minimise costs and maximise what we could raise. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you to Cripps, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, ALA Finance and Premium Fresh Tasmania ❤️

With Festivale happening this weekend, the city is going to be buzzing. If you’re already out exploring, why not add "SNAGIVALE" to your plans this Saturday.

Citizen Advocacy Launceston are hosting a sausage sizzle fundraiser at Bunnings Kings Meadows from 9am to 4pm and would love to see some friendly faces.

So whether you’re grabbing a quick bite before heading into town, passing by or doing some weekend DIY, every sausage helps support our efforts!

So pop in, grab a snag, have a chat with Nicole and Daniel and our supporters!

Citizen Advocacy Launceston Region Inc has been selected to host a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday January 31st at Bunnings Kings Meadows to help raise funds for our organisation.

As a small not for profit, we are seeking support from local businesses and community members through donations of supplies or funds, including:

• Sausages
• Onions
• Sauces
• Drinks (cans of soft drink and bottles of water)
+ All the things that make a Bunnings sausage sizzle great!!

If donating goods is not suitable, donations can also be made via the link below to help cover event costs and maximise funds raised on the day (any amount helps!)

All support helps us continue our work supporting people with disability to have a stronger voice, choice, and control in their lives.

If you are able to assist or would like more information, please send us a message.
Thank you for supporting local community organisations.

"Mona has become my friend, my family, and one of the brightest parts of my life." – Lily

What started as a shared love of pink and fashion has grown into something much bigger: friendship, laughter, support and family.

Lily first met Mona at a Citizen Advocacy BBQ, and they bonded instantly. Since then, their connection has deepened, full of moments that remind us that real friendships change lives.

Voluntary Opportunity: Looking for a good friend/advocate aged 50+

We are looking for someone with a great sense of humour, who is patient and kind and willing to assist a lady with a disability who is lonely, isolated and vulnerable to improve their life circumstances, help her to access the community and be willing to speak up for her if needed.

It would be perfect if this person also had experience with people with memory loss.

No qualifications are required but your desire to help others.

Orientation and ongoing support in order to fulfill this role will be provided to the right applicant.

Friendship. Resilience. Walking beside someone — that’s what advocacy is all about.

To close our Citizen Advocacy video series, we’re honoured to share Gary and Gerard’s story.

Gary and Gerard’s connection began through athletics decades ago. When Gerard later faced significant challenges, Gary became his advocate. With steady encouragement and support, Gerard rebuilt his confidence and independence. Fourteen years later, their enduring friendship reflects the power of trust and commitment.

While we wait for our latest video to have the finishing touches applied, here’s a story of advocacy and friendship.

John met Pete through Citizen Advocacy, and what started as regular visits to check on his well-being has grown into meaningful companionship. John ensures Pete feels valued and included, while their bond grows stronger every day.

This story reminds us why advocacy matters

"Everyone deserves to feel they matter."
