Ortho Surgeon returns to Launceston! ✈️

We’re excited to welcome Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Nick Marson to the Launceston Health Hub team 👏

A proud Launceston local, Dr Marson returns home bringing extensive interstate and international experience.

Dr Marson has completed advanced fellowship training at leading centres including The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. His expertise includes hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements, robotic assisted surgery, sports injuries and reconstructive surgery and fracture management, with a strong focus on patient centred care.

Dr Marson is passionate about delivering high quality orthopaedic care locally and helping patients access world class treatment close to home.

His books are open with minimal waiting time.
When he’s not in theatre, you’ll find him enjoying family time, travelling and making the most of Tasmania’s great outdoors.

Dr Carlin White and Dr Liz Lord have both gone on to Occupational Medicine, both working at Work Fit Tas, while Dr Vasuki now runs her own practice, Evandale General Practice

Same doctors, a few more years of experience… and possibly a little less baby-face. 😄

A cricket fan who proudly rates Great Southern Land as her ultimate Aussie anthem, Dr Ayesha enjoys making the most of the outdoors with beach days, camping trips and family BBQs.

Clinically, she brings over a decade of experience across Australia and Sri Lanka. A graduate of Rajarata University with a Master of Public Health from Torrens University, she has worked across medicine, paediatrics and emergency care at Launceston General Hospital.

Her special interests include paediatrics, dermatology and chronic disease management, and she’s known for her calm, thoughtful approach.

She’s now welcoming patients at Launceston Medical Centre.

We’re so excited to have Dr Maddison Gardner join us as a GP Registrar at Launceston Medical Centre.

Maddison has strong clinical interests in paediatrics and also in palliative care. She feels deeply honoured to care for children and to support patients and families through some of life’s most important and vulnerable moments. Her calm, compassionate style and genuine love for people shine through in everything she does.

She began her medical journey at Monash University before completing her MBBS at University of Tasmania. Since then, she has worked across general medicine, emergency medicine, paediatrics, women’s health, rural general practice and after hours care, giving her a well rounded foundation in community healthcare.

Maddison is also passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students. She values clear communication, team based care and thoughtful, evidence based medicine.

Outside of work, you will likely find her spending time with family and friends, barracking proudly for Collingwood 🖤🤍 or cheering on McLaren during the Formula One season.

If you see Maddison around the clinic, make sure you say hello and give her a warm welcome 💙
