Meet the Team - Dr Hannah P**n ⭐️

Hannah (She/Her) is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a Bachelor in Social Work, Master in Urban Studies: Community Arts, and a PhD in Society and Culture.

Hannah was born in Canada and moved to Tasmania some years ago to pursue her PhD at UTAS which she completed in 2021. She has previously worked in social work positions in Canada, United States, and Australia working with people experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, substance abuse, migration, unemployment, ageing, early childhood, and disabilities.

For the last four years, Hannah has been working in the clinical space, primarily in the areas of substance misuse and mental health. As a mental health clinician, Hannah draws from a variety of evidence-based psychological interventions such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), MI (motivational interviewing), and Mindfulness. She has a keen interest in Arts-based and Nature-based therapeutic approaches and is always working to grow her skillset and practice approaches.

In her free time Hannah enjoys anything related to being outside and movement. Some of her favorite activities include rock climbing, snowboarding, and dance. She finds movement, being in nature, travelling, cooking and eating good food, being creative and spending time with family and friends her (not-so) secret recipe to feeling energized and whole.

Hannah is available for face-to-face sessions in Hobart, or via telehealth Australia-wide.

Stop and smell the roses… literally! 🌹

Spring has sprung in Melbourne, and our front garden is showing off in the best way. Sunshine, colour, and a little reminder to take a moment for yourself today.

At Crawley House, we love how nature encourages us to pause, breathe, and notice the little joys around us 💐 And we especially love seeing the joy our garden brings to the Albert Park locals, who often stop to smell the roses!

The Crawley Clinic team is experienced in providing quality mental health treatment via telehealth (phone or video call). This is a great and effective way to connect with clients who find it difficult to attend in-person, whether that be because of geographical or time constraints, or personal preference.

Telehealth allows for psychological therapy from home, providing a comfortable, familiar space for clients, which can reduce anxiety.

There is no need to travel or worry about parking or public transport, which saves time and reduces stress. Telehealth offers greater flexibility in scheduling, making it easier to fit therapy into busy or unconventional schedules.

We have availability for telehealth appointments for clients Australia-wide.

Since the pandemic there’s been a real growth in awareness of ADHD in adults. We get it, lockdowns revealed a lot, right? Or perhaps your child has recently been diagnosed and now you’re seeing yourself in a new light. That makes sense too.

So behind the scenes our team has been undertaking special training to address this need in our current and new clients. And now we’re thrilled to announce our immediate availability for assessment of ADHD in people over 18. And a referral is not necessary.

At The Crawley Clinic, we take a team-based approach to assessment, with our senior clinicians collaborating with our early career clinicians … or put simply, you get two heads for the process of one. We work collaboratively to help you fully delve into whether an ADHD diagnosis is something that can clarify what you’ve been struggling with for so long, confirm what you perhaps already suspect, or even rule ADHD out so you can focus on the real issue.

Through thorough assessment we can then work with you to identify your best next steps. For some people that’s a psychiatry referral to discuss medication, for others it’s as relatively simple as ADHD coaching, or perhaps it might be both. The treatment is as unique as you are.

We look forward to supporting you on this journey! You don’t need a referral, so feel free to call us directly to discuss … 03 63310577 … Whether you’re in Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston or one of our rural outreach locations, we’re here to help.
