It's good to be back at the Clinic after a rest over the Christmas break.

The break gave me an opportunity to learn a new skill with a course called Chapman's Reflexes.

I have been implementing this already with my clients and they are finding it hugely beneficial. It's about not just releasing/relaxing muscles through massage but testing and switching on appropriate muscles so that the whole sequence of muscles are working as they should. This improves ease of movement, correct muscle function and increases strength.

I can now offer this as part of a Massage Treatment along with Adrenal Balancing, Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy.

COMBINING MASSAGE AND CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

I have recently completed another level of Craniosacral Therapy being Spiritual Craniosacral Therapy which is all about tuning in to the body and it's energy system at an even deeper level.

Craniosacral Therapy is able to be given as a full treatment or combined with massage. While a massage treatment reduces symptoms of pain, tightness and stress in muscles, craniosacral therapy is able to go to the cause of the issue to reduce symptoms long term.

Craniosacral therapy is a very relaxing, gentle and deeply healing modality that I am excited to be able to offer my clients. You could have a back massage and include half an hour of craniosacral treatment!

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

I have had amazing results with Craniosacral Therapy since including this modality in my treatments. One client sent a letter to my teacher, thanking her for teaching me as he’s had such good results.

My teacher is Sarah Barker who is a well known Craniosacral Therapist practising in the Ulverstone area.

Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, relaxing therapy which allows for healing on a deep level. You lay on the massage table face up the whole time and fully clothed. I can combine massage with craniosacral techniques if you prefer, rather than a whole treatment.

It allows old blockages, possibly from held emotion or physical injuries to be healed and released to allow your body’s natural healing system to function in the best way for you. By connecting with the energetic system of your body, I provide the support to allow this to happen.

I have now completed Level 1 and 2 in Craniosacral Therapy and am excited to be able to offer this modality as well as massage.

Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, relaxing technique that can create healing at a very deep level, both physically and emotionally.

BACK AT WORK!

To all of my Clients

Following advice from the Tasmanian Government and my Massage Association, I am able to be back to work.

I am easing back into it and have had commitments due to home schooling my son but as he's going back to school tomorrow 9th June I am available for appointments.

Everyone will be required to use hand sanitiser or wash their hands upon entry to the Clinic and of course not attend appointments if they are unwell. I have put extra cleaning routines in place on top of what I would already do. I am limiting the number of appointments per day to reduce risk to me and to my Clients and to give me plenty of cleaning time!

I am able to do 60 min or 90 min appointments as per usual and can provide Health Fund rebates.

STILL UNABLE TO WORK!

Despite receiving an e-mail from my Association, Massage and Myotherapy advising Remedial Massage Therapy has been deemed an essential service and I can return to work, I have been advised that this is definitely NOT THE CASE.

I decided to look into it before returning to work this week to make sure. I was advised by Massage and Myotherapy that it is a 'grey' area in Tassie and to call the Covid Taskforce in my local area. They advised that it is definitely NOT OK until the Premier, Peter Gutwein removes the restrictions that he put in place at the end of March. Hopefully these restrictions will be lifted soon. I would rather do the right thing by my clients and keep everyone safe.

I will let you know when I can return to work safely. Sorry to all of my clients who were looking forward to their massages that I had to cancel.
