Protein… we hear about it all the time — but is it really that important?...Yep! … Absolutely it is!! šŸ’Ŗ

I see muscle loss (sarcopenia) quite a lot, which can start from the age of 40 onwards! ... and while gardening and walking are great for you, they unfortunately don’t quite cut it if you want to head into those later years feeling strong, energised and pain-free! Especially as we age — it’s not just about how we look... muscle plays a huge role in strength, metabolism, lymphatic flow, bone health and overall wellbeing.

The healthier and stronger our bodies are, the better they function... almost like natural sponges, moving things through, supporting detox pathways and keeping everything flowing as it should!

Resistance training becomes so important as we get older… but without enough protein, the body simply doesn’t have what it needs to repair and build... and I totally get it — hitting 30g+ of protein, especially at breakfast, can feel like a stretch.
Vegemite on toast + a Milo or coffee… sound familiar?...

That first meal really does set the tone for your whole day...RIGHT? YEP!

A little less ā€œquick and easyā€ā€¦ a little more fuel and function šŸ’Ŗ

Keeping it simple! Keeping it clean!
Because getting older doesn’t have to mean feeling tired, weak or sore šŸ¤
Small changes…can make a big difference!

Our feet šŸ‘£ really are our absolute foundations, yet they’re probably one of the most neglected parts of our body!

They carry us around all day, every day… and I think mine have been quietly asking for a little more love lately!

I use a spikey ball and foam roller pretty much every day, but I’ve realised I need that little bit extra!

As we age and oestrogen declines, things tighten up, collagen loss kicks in and we lose a bit (a lot!!) of that natural spring and bounce... RIGHT? … so not fair! So I’m going next level... here's where "The Foot Collective" come in... adding in mobility, balance and stretching work to give these hardworking feet some proper TLC. Because when the feet get tight and locked up, the whole body starts compensating. Before you know it, everything feels a bit stiff, sore and out of whack!

Let’s put our feet back on the map... giving them the love, movement and attention they totally deserve! šŸ‘£

Because when we start with our feet, everything else follows. Strength, balance, posture even how we move through life — it all begins right there at the base.

For the next few weeks, I’m making a little promise to myself — 15+ minutes a day just for my feet. A spikey ball, a bit of rolling, mobility, balance, stretching and slowing down enough to actually listen to what they need...
