Nurses have always been the backbone of healthcare.
Today at the facility we are acknowledging and celebrating our Aged Care Nurses that have worked tirelessly throughout the last 12 months.
Nurses do so much more than what they were taught and school and give more than we will ever know. Take some time out to thank your family and friends who are nurses today!🩺💊

🐴 Pets for Therapy 🍃

Last week we had a special visit from Danny the Stockhorse and his handler Sharon. Sharon lead Danny around the group and even came up to the verandahs to meet our residents who were unable to come to him. He was so gentle and well behaved. We would like to thank Sharon and Danny for providing such a engaging session. These sessions will become a regular occurrence for the residents of Lakeside and we cant wait for Danny and Sharon to return.

💙Dementia Matters 💙
On Friday last week our lifestyles team organised a facility DIY Memory walk and Morning Tea - raising awareness and funds for Dementia Australia. Thankyou to all who volunteered their time. It was a successful morning and the sun shine was fabulous.
Even Benji - our pets for therapy dog had a great time.

The Residents had a lovely time at the resident christmas party yesterday.

Thankyou to our wonderful Lifestyles team who make every occassion a special one.

Evie the Lakeside Elf had a great time also- however Santa had word she did not adhere to the strict social distancing policy - she is now in quarantine until Christmas eve! 🎅🏼

In celebration of the Melbourne Cup, Laurieton held a Covid friendly Fashion on the Field parade.
Residents dressed up in attire and walked the catwalk. 🥳
