Hi, I’m Lisa — personal trainer, black belt, and queen of keeping it real for women over 40.
I help women feel strong, confident, and actually enjoy working out. Yep — fun and fitness in the same class? It’s a thing.
My fitness journey didn’t start with abs and almond milk.
In my late 20s, I was an unfit, overwhelmed mum of two, carrying an extra 20 kilos, deep in postnatal depression, and dealing with a major abdominal separation (diastasis recti) that eventually needed surgery. I tried to find support at the gym — but couldn’t connect with a trainer my age who got it.
So I became the personal trainer I’d been looking for.
I started with small steps — moved more, changed my eating, and discovered strength training. I got qualified at 30, earning a Master Trainer Certificate in Exercise Science & Fitness Management, my 1st Dan black belt (because why not?), and a stack of specialisations to support real women with real bodies.
Fast forward 20+ years — and I’m still here, doing it differently.
My classes are full of laughs, great music and empowering “I didn’t know I could do that” moments. No egos, no yelling — just movement that works with your body, not against it.
