It’s Winter..
Don’t forget about kettle mode!
Each morning we do however many mugs of milk we need with the spoons of hot chocolate straight into the mixing bowl. Kettle mode, and bang the temp down to 75° to be safe for the kids. Warms the milk and mixes in the choccy at the same time!
—if they like frothy hot choccy, the pop it on blend mode for 30seconds

On the weekend we had a celebration for our beautiful friend Chiq, a celebration of independence. So .trudgett had a croquembouche ordered to treat her.. except what was made for her looked like a pile of poops all toffeed together. We weren’t happy.
So TM7 to the rescue, I whipped up some choux pastry and some yummy chocolate custard. Also used the sugar stages for toffee and the 2 Nick’s assembled our little tower for our gal.

We were happy pretty chuffed with the result. Undecided if we are taking orders just yet 🤣

BROCCOLI SALAD WITH RED PEPPERS AND PINE NUTS

I’ve always struggled to get the boys to eat salad. I love salads. But you know how it’s often either salad OR veggies.. our house seems to be veggies. And ONLY the chosen ones.
This salad has changed that! In fact Declan found it on himself, as we had been in discussion of how to incorporate more capsicum (not a loved vegetable by him). He decided he would give it a go and now it’s something we make on the reg!
