The other day, I had the opportunity to teach a baby massage class, thanks to a kind invitation from the NPO organization CABL.
The participants included six babies, one of them a pair of twins, along with their mothers.
It was a lively class, with babies of different ages — some quietly enjoying their massage from mom, some getting hungry, some wanting to walk around energetically, and others getting sleepy!
At first, the moms seemed a little nervous, but gradually they warmed up, smiles began to bloom, and by the end, I heard so many lovely comments like,
“I’m so glad I came!”
“It was so much fun!”
“I finally learned what I’ve been wanting to know!”
I had a great time too. ♥️
Of course, learning the techniques in a baby massage class is important — and I make sure to teach them properly.
But more than anything, what I value most is not just teaching how to do a massage.
What truly matters to me is creating a space where moms can deepen their bond with their child through touch, where they can relax and enjoy themselves, connect with other moms, chat, and maybe even form friendships that last well beyond the class.
A space where they leave thinking, “That was fun!” — and feel recharged to enjoy their daily parenting life.
As I saw the moms off after the class, I found myself wondering if I had been able to help even just a little.
I’m really looking forward to the next workshop. 😊
