🌊 Tips for a Better Ice Bath Experience

1. Stillness
Once you’re in, resist the urge to fidget. Settle your body and find a position you can hold. The less you move, the more your body adapts and settles into the experience.

2. Deep Breathing
Slow, steady breaths signal safety to your nervous system. Try inhaling through the nose for 4–6 seconds, exhaling for 6–8. This helps reduce the shock response and makes the cold feel more manageable.

3. Time It Right
Start small—1–2 minutes is enough for beginners. With practice, you can build up to 3–5 minutes. It’s about consistency, not endurance.

4. Mindset Matters
Go in with purpose. Whether it’s recovery, mental clarity, or resilience, having intention helps you stay focused when the cold feels overwhelming.

5. Progressive Exposure
Ease into colder temperatures and longer durations over time. Just like strength training, gradual progression helps your body adapt safely and builds resilience without overwhelming your system.
