Applications can be made by accredited Calvary medical practitioners for patients who may not have the capacity to cover treatment costs, with support available for full or partial hospital expenses.

This vital program is made possible through community generosity and our ongoing commitment to caring for those most in need.

The Calvary community were saddened to learn today of the passing of Glynn Woodcock.
Glynn served as our Head of Facilities from 2023 to 2025.

Calvary is like a family to those who work here, and our thoughts are with Glynn’s family and friends at this difficult time.

Glynn will be remembered in prayer in our chapels, through staff communications, and with a plaque placed in the Lenah Valley Hospital memorial garden.

Last week we celebrated Mary Potter Day, marking 140 years since the arrival of the Little Company of Mary Sisters in Australia.

To honour this remarkable legacy, Tony, Hannah, Kate and Sean delivered freshly baked scones to staff across the wards at Calvary's Hobart hospitals as part of our celebrations. The roving tea trolley was a heartfelt gesture of hospitality — a small way to thank our teams and reflect on Mary Potter’s enduring message of “Being for Others.”
