Thank You to Aged Care Secret Santa!

We’re overwhelmed with gratitude to Aged Care Secret Santa and the amazing Brooke Smith for helping ensure every one of our residents received a thoughtful gift this Christmas!

Brooke goes above and beyond each year by gathering personalised wish lists — learning what each resident enjoys, their interests and likes — and then matching those with generous members of our community. The result: joyful surprises, heart-warming moments, and lots of smiles for our residents this festive season.

It’s such a wonderful reminder of the kindness and care our broader community shows to older people, and we are truly thankful to everyone who took part.

Thank you Brooke and the Secret Santa community for making this Christmas a little brighter for our residents!

A Big Thank You to Saputo!

We were delighted to receive a generous donation of Christmas hampers from Saputo, delivered to Woorayl Lodge this week.

These hampers will help bring a little extra joy this festive season, and we are incredibly grateful for Saputo’s ongoing support of our local community.

Yesterday we held our 2025 Annual General Meeting, bringing together Board Members, staff and our wider Woorayl Lodge community to reflect on another year of challenges, progress and shared achievements.

One of the highlights of the afternoon was recognising our incredible team through our Staff Service Award presentations. These awards acknowledge the dedication and commitment shown by our staff over many years, and their ongoing contribution to providing high-quality care for our residents.

🌟 Congratulations to all of our award recipients who were celebrated for reaching their service milestones. Your ongoing contribution to Woorayl Lodge is truly appreciated.

Woorayl Lodge Strategic Plan 2025–2030 Launch

Yesterday, Board President Linda Fiddelaers officially launched the Woorayl Lodge Strategic Plan 2025–2030, joined by residents, staff, community members and management.

The new plan sets out our shared vision for the next five years — to continue delivering person-centred, rights-based aged care and to develop a new state-of-the-art residential facility in Leongatha that meets the growing needs of our community.

Developed through consultation with more than 180 people, including residents, families, staff, volunteers and local organisations, the plan truly reflects the voices of our community and the values that make Woorayl Lodge unique.

We are inviting residents, families, carers and representatives to join the Woorayl Lodge Consumer Advisory Body — a group that helps shape our services, culture and resident experience.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a rights-based, person-centred aged care community where every voice matters.
