Hansel and Gretel's Christmas Pantomime snippets, performed at the Kensington Grange Christmas celebrations.

What began as an idea suggested by Lifestyle Coordinator, Alana, quickly turned into rehearsals, laughter, and teamwork. Residents embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm and confidence, delivering a performance to remember.

The pantomime was enjoyed by residents, families, staff, and the executive team during the Christmas Party.

What a magical month it’s been at Kensington Grange! They’ve captured so many beautiful moments that truly made this Christmas season one to remember.
From their annual Men’s Group Christmas lunch to festive crafts, lively entertainment, and cherished family portraits, the spirit of the holidays was alive throughout their home. The stunning Christmas decorations brought extra cheer and warmth to every corner of Kensington Grange.
A special highlight was the visit from the talented students from St. Ignatius College, who put on a fabulous show for our residents. Their performance took us on a nostalgic journey through 90 years of music and dance, followed by heartwarming conversations with our residents.
Thank you to everyone who made December so special. Here’s to more wonderful memories in the new year!

Residents at Kensington Grange were treated to a truly special visit from Leopold’s community Bendigo Bank. The generosity shown was incredible: a slushie machine to help everyone enjoy refreshing drinks this summer, a fabulous bread maker for their memory support unit, and a treasure trove of craft supplies!

Belinda and Mandy from Bendigo Bank joined the residents in painting beautiful ceramic ornaments for their Christmas tree (also donated!). The morning was filled with laughter, creativity, and wonderful memories.

We are immensely grateful for Bendigo Bank Leopold’s kindness and generosity. Thank you for making a difference in our community and bringing so much joy to Kensington Grange!

Children from Leopold’s Guardian Kindergarten have visited residents at Kensington Grange a few times this month! And what fun they have had! The children decorated the residents as their very own Christmas tree on one visit and enjoyed a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus on their final visit for the year. With snow, lollipops and even beautiful cards made by the children for their special friends at Kensington Grange, the connections built have been a beautiful experience for all!

What a fabulous Christmas party at Kensington Grange! Residents were treated to a wonderful performance by local entertainer Ben Constanzo, and the fun continued with an incredible pantomime of Hansel and Gretel starring residents Dennis and Rhena. With plenty of laughter and a bit of adlibbing, it was a show to remember!
A special thank you to Callen Whiteside from Geelong Sound for providing the stage lighting, sound, and festive backdrop that made the gala extra special.

Residents at Kensington Grange were treated to a beautiful ballroom dancing performance by residents Justin and Helena. The joy on everyone’s faces was unforgettable as residents had the chance to join in and were twirled around the dance floor.

We love welcoming a variety of entertainers, bringing music, movement and memories that help residents rewind the clock and relive the good old years. The laughter, the singing and the stories shared afterwards truly made the day truly magical.

Melbourne Cup celebrations at Kensington Grange was all smiles (and plenty of laughs!) as residents and staff enjoyed a big barbecue and showed off their handmade fascinators in their very own Fashions on the Field! 👒✨

From the catwalk to the cheering crowd, the energy was incredible — everyone looked the part and had such a wonderful time celebrating the Melbourne Cup together.

Kensington Grange have once again embraced the spooky season in style with the annual Trick or Treating event getting bigger and better!

After a week filled with fabulous Halloween-themed activities like Mad Science and Buried Witchcraft, residents got all dressed up in their costumes to await the arrival of the local trick or treaters for some sweet treats! 🍬

This year, we welcomed around 80 children from Leopold Primary School — even the rain couldn’t keep the visitors away! With residents in costume and buckets full of lollies, they still managed to run out of treats! It was wonderful to see residents’ grandchildren join in the fun too.

A big thank you to all the KG staff who joined in the dress-up fun and made the day so special for everyone. What a fantastic Halloween celebration! 🎃

Residents of Kensington Grange have had a fabulous week of carnival games, prizes, magicians, baby farm animals, ventriloquists and even a little bit of fairy floss!

In celebration of the local Geelong Show, residents were treated to a week-long show of their own. If we can't get everybody to the show, we will bring the show to them! 🍨

CEO Tim Humphries, Dianne and Squizzy residents from Sea Views Manor stepped in front of the camera to help promote this year’s Run 4 Geelong and they did a great job representing Homestyle Aged Care!

Big congratulations to the talented residents of Kensington Grange for their amazing achievements at this year’s Geelong Show!

Residents entered a variety of creative pieces, from knitting and painting to group art projects—and their hard work paid off!

Irene received a “Highly Commended” for her knitted “Bluey” and took third place for her “knitted knitting bag.” June earned third place for all three of her entries: a knitted toy, a painting, and a crocheted rug. Helen won first place for her beautiful diamond art!

The residents also worked together on a group project, a tiled image of Marilyn Monroe overlooking Eastern Beach, Geelong which won second place in the “Community or Hobby Group’s Work” section.

Congratulations to everyone for their wonderful achievements. We are so proud of you all!
