This week at Homestyle Kensington Grange, we had the absolute joy of celebrating Myrle’s incredible 106th birthday! 🎉

Residents came together for a beautiful morning tea in Myrle’s honour, followed by a much-loved barbecue which kept the celebrations going. Myrle was delighted by the celebrations and shared her heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined her on such a memorable day.

Wishing Myrle continued joy, laughter, and many more happy moments ahead!

Sailing into new adventures at Homestyle Kensington Grange!

With the beautiful weather this week another group of residents set off on a scenic journey from Queenscliff to Sorrento.

For many, it was a day of firsts. From taking in the breathtaking views at the Queenscliff lookout for the very first time, to sailing across the bay, whether it was a first trip ever or the first in over 30 years, every moment was filled with wonder. Residents couldn’t hide their excitement, soaking in the views and the thrill of new experiences.

The magic didn’t stop there, with lucky sightings of dolphins and seals along the way, followed by a walk through the interactive “Under the Bay” tunnel, discovering the hidden beauty beneath Port Phillip Bay.

Moments like these are truly special, especially hearing residents say they never imagined they’d still be enjoying new experiences at 95. A day filled with joy, discovery, and memories to treasure. 💙✨

Eggsellent adventures at Homestyle Kensington Grange! 🐣

Residents have hopped into the Easter spirit with a week full of activities and great moments together! From exciting egg hunts to creating beautiful, marbled eggs and hand-decorated Easter biscuits, there’s been plenty to keep everyone smiling.

During the egg hunt, things got cheeky as residents tried their best to “steal” each other’s eggs — all in good fun, of course! A truly an eggsellent time shared by all.

Homestyle Kensington Grange residents enjoyed a wonderful outing on the Searoad Ferries from Queenscliff to Sorrento and back. Lunch aboard the boat, fresh sea air, and the wind in their hair made it a truly memorable experience.

These trips are always something special. Local residents share fascinating stories and memories of the Bellarine—secrets from their teenage years, plenty of laughter, and moments of genuine connection. Experiences like these remind us just how much joy comes from community and shared stories. It was truly a wonderful day on the water.

Residents at Homestyle Kensington Grange have proudly taken out 5th place this year in the 2026 Flying Brick Cider Co Scarecrow Competition, an incredible result after placing 1st last year!

This year, a sparkling UFO named “Beam Me Up Scotty”, was carefully planned, designed and built by residents, with a strong focus on both creativity and function. Every detail from knitting and crocheting cows and aliens, to painting, pinning, gluing, and even bringing the spinning saucer to life was a true team effort.

To make it even more special, residents added solar lighting and sheer sequinned fabric to create a glowing effect at night, along with a clever “levitating” illusion—complete with cows being beamed up into the UFO!

Residents were thrilled to place again and received a $100 voucher and certificate for their incredible effort. A fantastic result and a wonderful example of teamwork, creativity and dedication — well done to all 32 amazing entries this year and everyone involved! 👏

Homestyle Kensington Grange celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with great energy and a whole lot of green! ☘️

Residents enjoyed a special armchair trip to Ireland, trying out their best Irish accents along the way — which brought plenty of laughs to the room! The afternoon was made even more memorable with fantastic entertainment by Ben Constanza.

A wonderful day filled with joy, connection, and lots of smiles. 💚

Homestyle Kensington Grange goes Hollywood!

Residents celebrated the Oscars with a morning full of film trivia, glamour photos, and even a catwalk!

Residents got creative, designing their own outfits and making the most of the props provided by the Lifestyle team. Special shoutout to Judy, who took home the Oscar for her impressive film knowledge, and to Russell, who made a fantastic James Bond!

A morning of laughter, creativity, and star-studded fun!

All things to love on February, at Homestyle Kensington Grange 💕

Residents enjoyed reminiscing about wedding days, creating love inspired gifts, arranging beautiful flowers and indulging in sweet chocolate treats. Harpist Susan Thomas filled the home with stunning music.

The team in the Memory Support Unit created a beautiful Valentine’s Photo Booth, giving residents the chance to share and capture special moments, sparking memories and celebrating together.

A fabulous February filled with love, music and joy.
