Finding daily routines a struggle?

Occupational Therapy supports people to build practical skills for everyday life.

OT can help with daily living tasks, routines, participation at home, school, or work, and strategies that support independence over time.

At Correlate Connections, OT starts with clear goal setting, practical therapy that focuses on what matters to the participant, and collaboration with families and supports where relevant so progress is realistic and measurable. 🧩

Therapy location matters. Skills often transfer better when they are practised in real life environments, with less disruption to routines and stronger engagement.

We offer home, school, office, and community based sessions. The right setting depends on the participant’s goals, support needs, and what will make practice easiest to carry into everyday life. 🏠

Confused about what a Functional Capacity Assessment actually shows?

A Functional Capacity Assessment helps build a clear picture of the support needed day to day.

It can help secure the right level of NDIS funding, provide evidence for plan reviews, and reduce stress by making support needs clearer.

An FCA looks at daily living tasks, communication, mobility, self care, and community participation. Our assessments are respectful, accurate, and participant centred, with clear reporting linked to NDIS goals 📝

Ongoing therapy matters because progress often comes from consistency, not one off appointments.

Under the NDIS, ongoing therapy can include regular supports depending on the participant’s goals. This may include Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy, or other allied health input delivered over time.

At Correlate Connections, therapy is structured around clear goals, progress is reviewed regularly, and reporting is aligned with NDIS funding and the participant’s plan so support stays practical and relevant. 📈

If you’re feeling stuck with where to begin, we can help you simplify the next step.

If you’re new to the NDIS, here’s a calm plan for what to do this week.

Step 1: Write down the top 2 or 3 things you need help with right now.
Step 2: Choose one goal you want to work on over the next 3 months.
Step 3: Check what supports you already have, and what feels missing.
Step 4: List the supports that could help most (for example support coordination, allied health, community access, respite).
Step 5: Reach out for a quick chat so you do not have to figure it out alone. 🤝

Feedback is part of delivering support in a complex sector. We welcome honest feedback because it helps us strengthen communication, clarify processes, and keep improving the way we support participants and families.

When concerns are raised, we look at what is happening behind the scenes. We track themes, review what needs to change, and focus on follow through with clear timelines and next steps.

If something does not feel right, or you have a suggestion, we would genuinely rather hear it directly so we can respond with care and clarity.

Not sure about speech therapy? You’re not alone 🤔 There are plenty of myths out there, so here are five quick truths to make things clearer:

💬 Myth 1: Speech therapy is only for speech sounds
Reality: It can also support language, social communication, literacy, feeding, swallowing and overall communication.

💬 Myth 2: Kids will just grow out of it
Reality: Early support makes a big difference and can prevent challenges from becoming long term.

💬 Myth 3: Only non-verbal children need speech therapy
Reality: Many verbal children still need help with clarity, comprehension, processing or expressive language.

💬 Myth 4: Speech therapy is just play
Reality: Play is used intentionally as an evidence-based way to build specific communication skills.

💬 Myth 5: You need a referral to get started
Reality: Families can usually self-refer directly to a speech pathologist.

Our speech therapists support children and adults with personalised goals, school and home strategies, and practical parent coaching.
