Sauna isn’t a seasonal indulgence, it’s a year-round investment in your health!

> The good heat supports your heart, lowers blood pressure, improves circulation, and helps your body adapt to stress.

> It boosts your mood through endorphins, clears brain fog, supports better sleep, and even strengthens immune function.

> Regular sauna use is linked with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, improved respiratory health, reduced inflammation, and a calmer, more regulated nervous system.

It’s not just about sweating, it’s about giving your body the conditions it needs to repair, recover, and thrive!

Marinating in plastic? Let’s talk sauna clothing…

We see it all the time, full-body synthetic suits, gym gear, thermals, kids wrapped up in synthetic long sleeves, and guys in thick, knee-length shorts made from heavy materials...

And while we know it comes from a good place, staying modest, warm, or just not knowing what to wear, it can be a serious problem in the hot room.

Synthetic clothing + high heat = unhygienic and sweaty mistake

>>> Materials like polyester, nylon, or elastane trap sweat, block airflow, and stop your skin from breathing. Instead of helping you sweat, they turn your sauna session into a slow roast.

>>> These materials also absorb and hold on to sweat, making things less than fresh for you and everyone around you, creating an unhygienic environment in a space that should feel clean and refreshing.

It’s not just uncomfortable, it's unsafe!

>>> When your skin can’t breathe and your body can’t sweat properly, you overheat fast. This is especially risky for kids in synthetic gear.

The fix? Simple.

>>> If you're wearing synthetic gear: wear as little as possible. Think: bikini, swim briefs, one-piece swimsuit, and make sure it's clean!

>>> If covering up is important to you, you can absolutely still do that, opt for natural fabrics like linen or cotton, loose, breathable, and heat-safe.

Want the cleanest, most refreshing experience possible? Check out our clothing-optional sessions:

Tuesdays: Men’s Clothing Optional

Thursdays: Women’s Clothing Optional

Monthly Co-ed N**e Bathing sessions – dates on our website and socials!

There’s nothing quite like the freedom of letting your skin breathe. You’ll feel amazing, sweat better, and leave lighter.

Ditch the plastics, sweat smart in the sauna!

One of the best things you can do for your kids is take care of yourself!

We’ve been hearing from mums how much they miss the sauna... so, we’re introducing Mums & Bubs sessions!*

Here’s what you need to know:

> Starting on Tuesday, 3rd of December - 7am, 8am, and 9am time slots (as always, each session is 2 hours long).

> These are women’s only clothing-optional sessions. To foster cross-generational community growth and inclusivity, all women are welcome to attend.

> Kids of ages 7 and under sauna for free (kids passes are available in store).

> Lower temperatures in the hot room (75 degrees top bench, perfect to steam it up for mums - around 65 degrees on the bottom bench, perfect for a gentle introduction to sauna for the little ones).

> Different cold plunge temperatures (10 degrees for bubs).

At Public Sauna Co, there is no age limit. These sessions are a great way to introduce your little ones to a real sauna culture. In Europe, it’s quite normal for kids to sauna and cold plunge from a very young age. Some of our team members started at 6 months!

We can’t wait to see how much sauna will do for you and your little ones! 🫶🏼

*Please note that these sessions are designed to offer a space for mums and their bubs while enjoying sauna. We don’t offer daycare services, and our team is not trained to take care of children’s needs. We don't work with children, you are responsible for your children's well-being if you choose to bring them to the sauna. We can not provide refrigeration for milk and food.

Our packs are made to share which makes them perfect for friends and the entire family.

Sauna brings us together. It's a place to connect with each other, to be present, mindful and to just simply relax.

There's no better gift than the gift of sauna ♨️❄️

“Sauna Rule #1: Drink plenty of water.”

Sauna goers who under hydrate are often people who:

• Don’t sweat well in sauna
• Get lightheaded
• Get too hot way too quick
• Get too cold outside way too quick
• Tell other people that “sauna isn’t for me.”

Hydration starts early in the day!

To get the best out of your sauna session, it’s best to:

• Drink plenty of water in the hours leading up to sauna

• Consider adding some electrolytes to your water bottle

• Continue to stay hydrated during and after your sauna session

• Use a large BPA free water bottle. Most water bottles can heat up in the sauna, but you can use a stubby holder, or wrap a towel around your bottle if you take it in with you. As heat rises, keep your water bottle on the ground.

♨️ Sit and Sweat in the traditional Finnish Sauna for 8 to 20 minutes depending on your experience.

---------------------------------------------------

There are 3 elements to the Blue Mountains Sauna Cycle. ♨️❄️🔁

Sit Sweat, Chill and Repeat

Throughout each of these elements, a careful focus on breath, mindfulness, stillness, hydration and rest unlocks an invigorating feeling that leaves you happier, healthier and recharged. 🌿

♨️ Sit and Sweat.

❄️Chill is a state of body and mind. Cool down with a cold shower, starting with your feet and working your way up to the heart, or slowly immerse yourself in the fresh-water cold plunge pool.

'Chill' also refers to Rest. Put on your robe, relax by the fire with a tea, drink plenty of water and allow your body to rest for at least 15 minutes.

🔁 Repeat. Scientific research suggests that maximum health benefits are realised by repeating the cycle (more info below) 2 to 3 times or more if you're experienced.

'Repeat' also refers to Routine. Studies have shown that causes of mortality (heart disease and stroke) were significantly reduced with increased use. Those who visited the Sauna 4-7 times per week were 63% less likely to experience cardiovascular disease than those who used the Sauna once per week. However, every visit to the Sauna showed clear benefits to overall health and well-being.

.
*Check with your doctor before using the sauna, especially if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure, abnormal heart rhythm, or are pregnant.
