On any given day, Kids Helpline counsellors are more likely to answer a female seeking help than their male counterparts. In fact, last month on an average day 195 females reached out for help compared to just 57 males. It's important that as a community we teach boys that it's OK to reach out for help. Mental health is health - it's nothing to be ashamed about.

About me.....

My name is Kimberly May and I am an accredited mental health social worker with over 15 years of experience working in community mental health programs with people who have severe mental health issues. I am also a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), which promotes a code of ethics and quality practice standards which my profession is based on.

My specialty is in all areas of mental health and dual diagnosis and I am also passionate about helping those who have experienced family and domestic violence.

I also use a variety of evidence based interventions using a trauma and strength based approach to your care and will tailor your sessions to your needs.
