At Artistic Revolutions, we believe that caregivers are the most important people in their children’s lives. Because they spend the most time with their children, especially through the sensitive periods of brain development, they have the biggest role to play in helping their children develop core strengths in problem solving, emotional intelligence, resilience, self-regulation, creativity, confidence and expression.
We passionately believe that if mental health professionals can equip parents with some essential brain and behavioural information about their child this can bring about powerful changes in the lives of children and their families. Together we can build better brains! Empowering parents to become the therapeutic agents of change for their own children can transform behaviour, meltdowns, anger issues, anxiety and chaos and give children the best gift in life – the self-belief to succeed in happiness, resilience and wellbeing. Higher order functions such as academic achievement are built on these strong emotional and relational foundations. When parents, wellbeing/mental health practioners and educators work together, with a child centred model, using evidence based best practices, we ensure optimum social, emotional and cognitive outcomes for the next generation of children.
To do this the neurobiology of the brain, stages of child development, expectations for different stages of brain wiring, and the importance of using therapeutic language and building connection (to manage the symptomology of children’s behaviour), needs to be taught to parents. Parents and caregivers have the largest involvement in their children’s lives and brain development and this relationship can be the most powerful agent of change. Sian believes that we need to support all parents in sharing this information, understanding the brain science and the importance of attunement and learn the practical skills to help their children (themselves and their families) thrive not just survive!

PRAISE FOR ARTISTIC REVOLUTIONS
“Sian Chambers has provided our children with some delightfully rich musical experiences. Her program includes singing, dancing and movement, musical instruments, puppets and different styles of music. From the warm and welcoming beginning with a greeting song, through to a relaxing finish with children laying beneath a waving parachute our children were engaged and so happy. Sian's presentation is warm and thoughtful. She includes all children and can tailor her program to suit different age groups and individual children's needs. Her visits have been a highlight and enjoyed so much by the children who have been completely absorbed in her enchanting session. Highly recommend for Early Childhood Services!” (Mandy, Lilydale North Preschool)
“We look forward to our monthly visits from Sian where she engages both residents and children through music and movement. The children have become more confident as they visit regularly and build relationships with their grand friends. This intergenerational program has proved to be beneficial for all involved. What a delight it is to see the faces of the residents light up every time they see the children and interact with them.” (Keirston Whelan, Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, BlueCross Baradine)
"We had Sian provide Music & Movement sessions fortnightly at our playgroup for 2 years. She was amazing – both the children & parents loved her sessions! - they were interactive, engaging & fun! Sian is so skilled in working with & engaging a range of age groups from babies to pre-schoolers and we were always excited to see what new activities she had organised for the next session. Her range of instruments were a big draw-card too. I would thoroughly recommend Sian’s programs to anyone."
(Michelle - Facilitator Healesville Playgroup)
Eastern Health
"Super educational. Super fun. Super educational. The Mount Evelyn Community House currently offer music classes each Monday and the facilitator Sian, is brilliant! A mum and a music educator, she brings with her a mix of engaging activities that help teach music from the very beginning! From teaching the musical lingo, exploring rhythm and dance through story telling and dress ups (have you spotted the caterpillar in the cocoon?) and breath control with the rainbow sphere, your kids will take away so much learning from these sessions! Sian quickly picks up all the names and really connects with the kids through her gentle and positive nature - really getting into the spirit of music class down on the floor with everyone!" www.mammaknowseast.com.au review
"We are going to Rockin' tots and their faces light up with excitement. They have a real connection with Sian as she always speaks to each child on arrival. They both have come a long way in appreciation of music. Playing the big drum is a favorite. Concentration for 45 mins is amazing! Treasure box and parachute (with lights) - they both talk about it on the way home in the car...
"Just a quick note to thank you for the beautiful music experience you gave the children today. It was simply delightful. I really appreciate your talent, skill and the beautiful way you present your craft to the children." Lilydale North Preschool

Singing helps me escape society and it's madness and Artistic Revolutions is one place that I can be me. I can express my feelings through busting out a ballad or show my fun side singing a pop song! Artistic Revolutions helps you to widen your dynamic range and to improve your chosen genre to sing in :) With fantastic teachers that aren't judgmental, you are able to boost your confidence in the practice room, which eventually contributes to your confidence outside in society.
