Big week of taping education 👊

We wrapped up one of two taping nights this week, this time hosted by Wesburn Football Club – and what a turnout.

Coaches, trainers and players from , , , , Lilydale Ejays Softball club , Boronia Fottball Club, , and more all getting hands-on and building confidence in strapping techniques.

From ankles to shoulders, it was all about practical skills, injury prevention, and keeping athletes on the park when it matters most.

Massive thanks to everyone who came along, asked questions and got involved – that’s how community sport gets better 💪

This is where rehab looks much more like sport.

Late stage rehab is all about preparing the hamstrings and lower body for the demands they need to tolerate - speed, velocity, length and high force.

⚡️Higher velocity work
📏 End range strengthening
💥 Explosive hip extension and rapid knee flexion
🏃‍♂️ Return to running and sports specific drills

Return stronger, faster and less injury prone 💪

HAMSTRING REHAB // PART 2: MID STAGE 🔄

Here the focus shifts from simply reloading the muscle to progressively strengthening in positions and patterns that prepare for running.

✅️ Progressing earlier stage exercises
✅️ Introducing more lengthening work
✅️ Increasing volume, load and complexity
✅️ Knee dominant movements (knee flexion)
✅️ Hip dominant movements (hip extension)

Importantly dosage needs to be progressive and INDIVIDUALISED. Too little load won't prepare the tissue whereas too much too soon increases injury risk.
