for coming home to your self My name is Laura Jones and I am a local Mum here on the Central Coast. Completing in December

I studied Relaxation, Remedial, Trigger Point Therapy and Pregnancy Massage with the School of Integrated Body Therapies and have 16 years hands on experience in these modalities. I have a diploma of Remedial Massage. I have worked alongside a Chiropractor as her assistant/Massage Therapist for 13 years. I am a registered member of ATMS and am eligible to give health fund rebates. In 2006 I completed Reiki Degree 1. In 2007 I completed my pregnancy and postnatal massage training with the School of Integrated Body Therapies. I am also an Infant Massage Instructor (trained by IAIM) and an experienced Birth Doula (birth support) with qualifications with Optimum Birth. In 2015 I completed a Fertility/Digestive Massage course with Clare Blake from Fertility Massage Therapy & Training in the UK. in 2016 I have attended the following seminars at Shakti Durga's Shanti Mission: Ignite Your Spirit 1 & 2, Empowering Relationships 1 & 2, Yoga of the Mind. In 2017 I did a refresher workshop with Clare Blake for Fertility Massage and renewed my first aid certificate. In December my second child is due to be born.

Today I visited a new Mumma I’ve massaged and supported since her first trimester. Was so lovely to meet her son! The boy I’ve been feeling inside for months.

It’s always such an honor to sit with new parents and hear their birth story.

This woman started out like most of us knowing not much but found her village and educated herself and the result was a beautiful, empowering birth.

First Moon Circles

What an honour it is to do this work.

Education, craft, celebrating each other and honouring our young girls. Allowing them to see and feel the connection of sisterhood. Allowing them to ask all the questions about whats to come. Young girls are so curious about whats going to happen to their bodies. Curious about what product they can use to ensure blood doesn’t go everywhere. First Moon Circles open up the sometimes awkward conversations we need to have with our daughters. It gives us the opportunity to educate and prepare our girls for what’s to come.

Today’s circle was so beautiful. In each circle I’ve held, the girls are so supportive and helpful to each other. I love watching the girls hear the loving messages from their Mothers that they share with them in circle.

So thankful and proud Mothers trust me with their daughters to teach them about our menstrual cycle, inner seasons, puberty and how special it is to be female ❤️

This afternoon I was invited to a new Mummas home to massage her and her friend who also has a 4 month old baby. The women took turns looking after each other’s baby’s while each one received a massage. One Mum said “this is the first time my body has been relaxed in so long”. Find your village Mummas ❤️

What a privilege it is massaging a woman through her entire pregnancy from the first trimester to the third. It’s always so beautiful to be a small part on their journey. To watch their transformation. To patiently wait for that text message finding out the baby has arrived. Meeting that little baby that I once felt inside of her womb. “Just had confirmation baby went head down last Friday evening!”. Massaged this second time Mumma at 37 weeks pregnant on Friday! As well as many times during this pregnancy. “My OB wants your details”. Never get tired of seeing these messages come through.
