Multitask's vision of "Inclusive communities where people living with a disability can have reach and meaningful lives" has underpinned the provision of a unique, wide ranging group of services, aiming to increase the independence of people with disabilities and supporting them to make informed choices about the way they wish to live their lives. rd and Management Team, Multitask has become recognised as a leader in the provision of support services to people with disabilities in the Northern Rivers Region. Multitask services aim to develop the potential of each individual to have a happy, secure and meaningful life that is both appropriate to each person's needs and goals. Its headquarters in Molesworth Street houses general administration as well as Day Services and Children's Services. Business services operate from South Lismore. Our disability services cover the Lismore, Nimbin, Ballina, Grafton, Tamworth, and Kempsey areas. Over recent years we have expanded the number and style of services on offer. It is our belief that each person is an individual and that the model of service delivery should match the persons own requirements and abilities. We continually look for innovative, effective ways in which we can support people with disabilities to lead active lives.

🎉 Recently, we’ve had the privilege of sharing several birthdays and family celebrations with some of our wonderful participants and their loved ones. 🥳

🥰 From vibrant smiles and laughter to the quieter moments of connection, each occasion has reminded us how important community, friendship and family are in our lives.

A huge happy birthday to all those celebrating and congratulations to the special family milestones. 🥂

🏃‍♂️ SPEEDING OFFENCE DETECTED🏃‍♂️‍➡️

What an amazing day at the Close the Gap community event! 🚩

When our participant was asked about the event, he said he “loved running fast and getting my speed checked by the police!”. 💯
😮 The radar showed him absolutely flying down the track at a whopping 22km/h! 🏆

Safe to say the officers were impressed and no fines were issued… this time. 😅

🤳As if breaking the sound barrier wasn’t enough for one day, we also got to meet some Rugby League legends:

✅ Mini Holiday?
✅ New home?
✅ Living their best lives? 💯

🏡 Two of our participants have officially moved into their brand new home.
📦 And we’re pretty sure they’ve settled in faster than most people unpack a moving box! 😁

🏖️ But after all that hard work, they decided a little coastal escape to Evans Head was due. And honestly, we couldn’t agree more. 👍

It should be mandatory that we all take a mini vacation after moving houses (call it a healthy work/ life balance)! 💅

💆‍♀️💆‍♂️Between soaking up the beautiful coastal scenery and relaxing by the river, it was a fantastic opportunity to recharge and enjoy some well-earned time away.

🥰 We love seeing our participants making the most of new opportunities, building independence and creating memories along the way (preferably with good scenery, fantastic company and lots of tasty snacks included too). 😉

👩‍💻 Rosters Officer - 76 hours a fortnight - Monday to Friday. 👨‍💻

An opportunity is available for an experienced Rosters Officer to join a thriving not-for-profit organisation in Lismore NSW.

The Rosters Officer is responsible for the clerical and administrative support of organisational rosters in a fast paced collaborative team based environment.

Employing over 300 staff, Multitask exists to create opportunity for people with disabilities across New South Wales. Based in Lismore, Multitask supports people with disabilities to realise their goals and be part of the community.

No experience necessary however, experience in a similar environment / role will be an advantage.

🌟 Role criteria 🌟

💻 Professional skills:

✅Computer literate, competent in Excel and Outlook
✅Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
✅Strong attention to detail and capacity to follow up issues
✅Commitment to ensuring rostering does not conflict with statutory employee conditions
✅Thorough understanding and commitment to WHS Act and EEO principles.

📞 Interpersonal skills and experience:

✅Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of communication.
✅Ability to negotiate and gain cooperation from staff from a diverse range of age groups, cultures and backgrounds
✅Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use initiative.
✅Capacity to prioritise workloads effectively and follow procedures
✅A reasonable level of health and resilience to fulfil the demands of the role.

🖍️ As they got stuck into a fun filled mug designing session and let’s just say, the creativity levels were HIGH.

Showcasing a great variety of patterns and colourful designs. 🌈

💛 There were plenty of laughs and at least a few moments of “this looked easier in my head”. But the results? Absolutely stunning.💯

🎨 Safe to say that we’ve definitely entered our Picasso era, where the tea and coffee are about to taste 10x better out of these custom creations. ☕️

This week our very own Queen B lived the ultimate royal treatment. 💆‍♀️

💄 From a relaxing hair spa to full glam queen vibes, she stepped out looking and feeling like royalty. 💅

And of course, no royal day is complete without a feast fit for a queen. 💃
😋 Lamb cutlets were on the menu so her favourite meal was well and truly secured! 🍗

We love seeing our participants enjoying experiences that make them feel confident, celebrated and truly special. 💜

🥰 And we hope this inspires you all to remember to treat yourself or a loved one (❗️Hint: Mother’s day is just round the corner!) to a pampering day out. 🫶

🌺 We reckon this ANZAC long weekend was True Blue perfection! 🎸

Our participants took an overnight trip so they could be up nice and early for the Currumbin dawn service. 🌞
Reflecting and standing proud of the courage, sacrifice and spirit of those who have served and continue to serve our country. 🌺

🎤 Emotions were high but our voices even higher, as everyone sang along to John Williamson’s performance, not missing a single lyric.

✨ Safe to say, despite voices being a little hoarse and feet a little tired, there were plenty of smiles and a whole lot of Aussie spirit and pride in the air. ✨

🌸 As we head into the weekend, we’ve been busy prowling the local op shops and BCF for some hidden gems and bargain finds. 😎

🏋️‍♀️ Then hitting the gym for a motivating work out session! Which, of course, every workout session should have a mandatory little sweet treat to follow. 🧋

As we visited Sprout café for a relaxing wind down, featuring some much deserved tasty treats. Always a highlight! ☕️☺️
