Multitask is empowering people living with a disability to live rich & meaningful lives est. 1972 Multitask operates from several locations.

Multitask's vision of "Inclusive communities where people living with a disability can have reach and meaningful lives" has underpinned the provision of a unique, wide ranging group of services, aiming to increase the independence of people with disabilities and supporting them to make informed choices about the way they wish to live their lives. Employing over 300 staff and led by a dedicated Board and Management Team, Multitask has become recognised as a leader in the provision of support services to people with disabilities in the Northern Rivers Region. Multitask services aim to develop the potential of each individual to have a happy, secure and meaningful life that is both appropriate to each person's needs and goals. Its headquarters in Molesworth Street houses general administration as well as Day Services and Children's Services. Business services operate from South Lismore. Our disability services cover the Lismore, Nimbin, Ballina, Grafton, Tamworth, and Kempsey areas. Over recent years we have expanded the number and style of services on offer. It is our belief that each person is an individual and that the model of service delivery should match the persons own requirements and abilities. We continually look for innovative, effective ways in which we can support people with disabilities to lead active lives.

We have so many new programs happening at the moment at our 56 Woodlark Street facility.

👩🏼‍🎨Today was the first session of Repurposed craft with Rebecca! Rebecca Ryan is the face behind Bec's Bespoke, a local handmade brand and sewing studio.

👜Bec has been making bags, homewares and other accessories for around 16 years.

Her passion is giving vintage and preloved fabric and materials a new life.

🪡As well as sewing, Bec has tried her hand at many creative endeavours - weaving, ceramics, mosaics, drawing, painting, macrame and printing amongst others.

Bec was also the founder and coordinator of the 2022 heart banner movement - covering Lismore and the surround area with over 4500 heart banners ❤️

Bec is excited to be joining Multitask for weekly crafting and creative sessions.

Repurpose by Rebecca focuses on a 4 week rotation program.

💥Meet Ash!
Ash is one of our vibrant participants, and if you’ve met her - you’ll know she lights up every room she walks into! ✨
Comedian at heart, Ash loves to make people laugh. She’s a total chatterbox with a bubbly, bright personality and a smile that’s totally contagious.
You'll often catch her dancing, singing, or vibing to her favourite tunes - like “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls or “Good Riddance” by Green Day. Music is definitely her jam! 🎶🎤
When she’s not out and about in the community with her support workers, she’s probably hanging out with her furry bestie Maple (swipe to see the cuteness!). 🐾
Oh - and don’t even get her started on food… She LOVES it!
A true social butterfly, Ash is happiest when she’s surrounded by people, sharing laughs, stories, and great vibes. 🦋
We’re so lucky to have Ash as part of the Multitask community 💛

Now that’s how you spend a weekend! 💥
Our crew had a fantastic day out starting with a lovely morning tea in Murwillumbah , followed by a visit to the fascinating Tweed Valley Museum.
After soaking up some local history, we headed to the Murwillumbah Services Club for a delicious lunch— and wrapped up the day with a visit to the stunning Tweed Regional Art Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre
Safe to say, smiles were everywhere — even our support workers had a blast! 🥲

Aside from that cheeky little storm that popped in and out, last week brought us some absolutely stunning winter sunshine — and wow, did our participants make the most of it! 💛

🚌 Some adventured out to beautiful Lawrence for the day
🐋 Others went whale watching over the weekend (what an experience!)
🏘️ And many enjoyed accessing our wonderful local community, soaking up the sun and good vibes wherever they went
