Yoga with Liina Flynn is back in 2023! Vinyasa Flow Yoga is Wednesday 5.30pm @ Health Hub Chiro, 46 Jubilee St, Lismore. Core Yoga is Fridays 10am @ GSAC, 50 Oliver Ave, Goonellabah. Both classes are drop in.
Class Descriptions: CORE YOGA for all levels. Bring awareness into your body as you move, stretch and strengthen your core muscles in a yoga class designed to improve your balance, breathing and mental wellbeing. CORE yoga is for the body and mind, building a strong back, willpower and determination in how we do life.
VINYASA FLOW YOGA: Align your breath with movement and intention as you stretch and strengthen mind and body. Different options in poses are given to suit different levels of yoga experience. Please bring a mat to this class - all other props provided. If you need a mat, please book in prior to coming by phoning 0478155114.
Wednesday is $18 drop in price, cheaper if you buy 5 or 10 classes in advance. Friday is $20 @ GSAC unless you are a gym member.

Namaste yogis. There will be no yoga classes between wednesday October 19 and november 9. Classes resume as normal on monday Nov 14. I'm off to study more Thai massage with an old blind thai master. Lets hope the airline doesn't make me miss the trip.! See you this Wednesday and next Monday for yoga! Metta, Liina

You use your core in yoga in ways you never knew...When you transition smoothly from one yoga pose to another as when you step forward from Downward-Facing Dog to High Lunge. Rather than rigid contraction, this kind of core work teaches us to embody strength in suppleness, which is the sthira (effort) and sukha (ease) referred to by Patanjali in the Sutras that helps us find balance as we adapt to situations in yoga and in life.

"Core work" tends to make you think of intense ab crunches or Boat Pose. But there's so much more to strengthening your core than that.
