👉 If your goal is muscle growth or strength gains:
Hold off on plunging immediately after training.
Cold exposure can blunt inflammation, which is a key part of the muscle-repair process that drives growth. It may also reduce anabolic signalling (like mTOR), meaning slower strength and size gains over time.

Instead, plunge later — 6+ hours post-training or on non-lifting days — to still get the recovery benefits without interfering with adaptation.

👉 If you’re training for general fitness, recovery, or feel-good vibes:
