FNC water storage tank has been completed with a warm up area on top. The tank stores 500,000 litres of water. There is a low section of the tank designed to cater for all immediate needs that is maintained by council water mains. The remainder is for harvested water via FNC collection and recycling system. Water is automatically transferred from the collection well to the storage tank on demand. The harvested water will reduce costs, use water that would normally go into Tucki Tucki creek. It’s a win economically and environmentally. FNC acknowledges Janelle Saffin, Kevin Hogan and Lismore City Council for their support of the project. The project was funded by the NSW Government.

Just a follow up to the great success the over 49’s had winning the Division 1 State Championship back to back last weekend. Generally these teams getting away is a combined effort with a mixture of Executive, Rep Committee and team members. This was the case with the 49’s, but appreciation and recognition must go to James Walker for his enthusiasm, organisation and management of this team. James makes all other jobs easier by way of his commitment and organisational skills.
We also acknowledge the efforts of Dennis Adam for his dedication and continued efforts year in and year out sorting numerous masters teams. Our thanks to James and Dennis and all those that participate or otherwise support FNC Hockey with Masters and all levels of our sport.

Over 49 Champions, they defeated Sydney in the final, 2-1. Gutsy performance and we have back to back trophies. Well done men.

FNC over 49 men have stormed into the Semi Finals with some big wins:
Friday 7-1 over Illawarra, 5-1 over Metro South West
Saturday 8-1 over Orange 4-0 over Newcastle
Not sure who they play this morning but that is as good an effort as you can get.

The cold early morning match suited Goulburn more than our coastal boys. They were galant in defeat 3-1, and represented our association with pride and tested all their opponents. Congratulations boys, Dan, Crystal and Mark for a job well done. So now just leaving, boys are showered and just raided the kitchen with muffins and raisin bread , should be home around 1am if all goes well. Travel safe all, and a huge thank from the FNC Hockey Community.

Second day, defeated Bathurst 6-0, went down to Sydney in a close game 2-1. Will play a Semi tomorrow. A great effort over these two days, well done all.

Our Boys are doing very well, the first game against Metro South they won 5-1 Second game this afternoon was against Wagga Wagga they won 3-0. Early to bed tonight and two big games tomorrow. Well done boys, that is a stellar effort thus far. Good work Dan, Crystal and Mark just fantastic.
