Lithgow Community Private Hospital has been announced as one of the recipients of LJ Ho**er Lithgow, Lithgow Workies Wolves Rugby League and Lithgow Workmen's Club Charity Auction!

The event will be held on Saturday 2nd August 2025, 6pm in the Lithgow Workmen's Club Show Room - Entry is FREE.

Please join us for a fun filled evening with a live auction, Locked Esky, 100 Club, Raffles and more!

LJ Ho**er Lithgow will be collecting items to auction on the night, All donations are greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged during the event.

All proceeds raised will be donated to two local organisations -
Lithgow Information and Neighbourhood Centre (LINC)
Lithgow Community Private Hospital (LCPH)

LCPH welcomes a new Visiting Specialist, Dr Peter Kolovos- Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist).

Dr Kolovos has extensive experience in all aspects of Renal medicine. This includes hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, dialysis, and kidney transplantation.

He takes a holistic and proactive approach to managing chronic health conditions, aiming to prevent progression and minimise their impact on day-to-day life.

Dr Kolovos will be consulting from the Lithgow Specialist Medical Centre Monthly.

Lithgow Community Private Hospital wins award for Outstanding Community Organisation at the Energy Australia Black Rose Business Awards hosted by the Lithgow District Chamber of Commerce at the Lithgow Workies this past Saturday.

Here are a few words from our General Manager Evonne Flynn regarding the night.

“Saturday night was a fantastic evening at the Energy Australia Black Rose Lithgow Business Awards, held at the Lithgow Workmen's Club.

Organised and hosted by the Lithgow District Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together businesses of all types and sizes, to network, share ideas and celebrate local successes.

I was truly honoured and overjoyed to accept the 2LT and Move FM award for Outstanding Community Organisation for 2025 on behalf of Lithgow Community Private Hospital. As a not-for-profit specialist medical centre and day surgery unit, Lithgow Community Private Hospital has been providing essential health care to our community since its inception in 1999. We are community-focused, and last year alone, we provided over 10,000 specialist appointments and 750-day surgery and ambulatory care services.

This achievement would not be possible without our amazing team. I am incredibly grateful for our dedicated nurses, administration staff, and housekeepers, who work tirelessly to create a safe and caring environment in our centre. Thank you to the LHS staff and management team.

To our volunteer Board of Directors and the doctors on our Medical Advisory Committee-your dedication to governance and excellence goes above and beyond. Thank you.

LCPH welcomes a new Visiting Specialist, Dr Joshua Lane - Ophthalmologist.

Dr Lane is an Ophthalmologist with
Broad interests, including macular degeneration/diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract removal and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
Dr Lane will be consulting from the Lithgow Specialist Medical Centre Twice a Month.

Lithgow Community Private Hospital Specialist Medical Centre officially welcomes Chloe to the team into her new Administration Officer Role!

LCPH would like to congratulate Chloe Kemp on completing her Medical Business Traineeship. Chloe finished her Traineeship in January and has been welcome with open arms as an extremely valued member to the LCPH Specialist Centre.

Most of you already know Chloe, she can be found most days at the reception desk in the Specialist Centre!

Chloe was also announced as Skillset's December Trainee of the month along with LCPH being named Skillset's December Host of the month! We are very proud here at LCPH to have an individual like Chloe as apart of our team.

LCPH is always thankful for the chance to work alongside Skillset to be able to provide extremely beneficial training and employment opportunities for the young people located in this region.
Training and employing local people is an important part of delivery our services to the Community.

LCPH hopes to provide more opportunities like this and look forward for what the future holds as we continue to grow as an organisation.

New Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitor for LCPH Day Surgery.

On behalf of Lithgow Community Private Hospital, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful ladies at QUOTA Lithgow for their generous donation that enabled the purchase of the Welch Allyn Spot Monitor. This contribution has enabled the hospital to replace end of life equipment, which is vital in the care of all of our patients.

Andrew Evetts Took the Plunge for Lithgow Community Private Hospital!

Last Friday December 6th Andrew Evetts braved the elements and swam an amazing 10km at the Lithgow Aquatic Centre. He was cheered on by Lithgow Community Private Hospital (LCPH) staff members and his friends who watched Andrew swim the 200 laps and never miss a beat. Andrew and LCPH would like to thank the staff of the Lithgow Aquatic Centre who were a great support on the day and throughout Andrew’s training for this event.

LCPH is a community owned, not-for-profit Day Surgery and Specialist Centre that has over 25 specialists and surgeons who look after patients from Lithgow, Blue Mountains and the Central West. LCPH relies on public support to be able to continue to provide exceptional patient care.
So far, the swim has raised close to $13,000 for LCPH surpassing the initial goal, what an amazing achievement. However, it is not too late to donate. The My Cause link will be accessible until December 20th 2024.

Andrew Evetts Takes the Plunge for Lithgow Community Private

On Friday, December 6, 2024, one of our board members, Andrew Evetts, will take on a 10km marathon swim at the Lithgow Aquatic Centre. This incredible feat aims to raise much-needed funds for our community hospital, allowing LCP to sustain its services for the community. “I can swim, but I’ve never swum this far!” Andrew admits. His determination reflects the dedication of the entire LCP team to keep healthcare local and accessible.

LCP plays a critical role in Lithgow, offering essential day surgeries and specialist medical services to the region. Without it, residents would face lengthy travel times and added stress to access similar care elsewhere. Community-owned and not-for-profit, LCP relies on public support by using our facilities to maintain its operations and keep vital services within reach for everyone.

Your donation can make a difference. Donations will directly fund LCP’s ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional patient care and are tax deductible. Lithgow Community Private Hospital secures operating agreement with the local health district for the next five years and beyond.

On Friday 8th November, 2024 Lithgow Community Private Hospital and Specialist Medical Centre (LCPH) and Nepean Blue Mountains Health District (NBMLHD) entered into a new agreement that sets out the commercial and operational arrangements between LCPH and NBMLHD that will provide greater certainty for the delivery of health services for the Lithgow area.

LCPH has been operating from the Lithgow Health Service premises since it started operations 25 years ago. LCPH provides private day surgery services as well as specialist medical centre with over 25 visiting medical specialists that provide around 10,000 local specialist medical appointments each year.

There will be no change to LCPH operations, the same specialists will continue to travel to Lithgow to see patients, and LCPH will continue to seek new specialists to see patients in Lithgow.
