Something I’ve been focusing on to Increase Wellness in my life is decreasing artificial blue light exposure (especially at night) and increasing exposure to the full spectrum or natural light. Get outside (especially at sunrise/sunset) and expose your eyes and skin to the light - I also use red light therapy including near & far infra red light. This is a really interesting discussion.

What was in today’s mail…Super Gut the book by cardiologist Dr William Davis. With school holidays just around the corner I’m super excited to dig into this book and learn all about the gut. I’m fascinated by the research around the microbiome. I’ve got my yoghurt maker and starter cultures ready and I’m looking forward to seeing how changing my gut flora impacts my overall wellness. For anyone struggling with weightloss resistance despite a healthy diet and lifestyle…the answer may be in your gut flora. A woman who received a f***l microbiota transplant (FMT) from her overweight daughter developed new-onset obesity. The transplant was intended to treat a C. difficile infection, but the recipient experienced significant weight gain and became obese, a condition that persisted despite attempts to diet and exercise, according to medical reports. I’m currently completing an assessment in my nutrition studies about why diet and exercise for weight loss is not always successful and the myriad of factors that contribute to a dysregulated metabolism

Here is a recipe for a nice breast health oil blend from Robert Tisserand.
I made this recently but added a few extra oils and also used high oleocanthal olive oil as the carrier. (High oleocanthal olive oil has its own cancer preventative properties).
My mother’s side of the family has a strong history of estrogenic cancers and I have to keep a close eye on things so I have an annual thermography scan done. I just had my annual scan and all the heat and inflammation from the breast tissue that was seen and flagged on the previous scan was gone. This is a great sign - I’ve also been applying redox molecules and drinking them. I also use red light therapy and take medicinal grade olive oil daily. I don’t use artificial fragrances, avoid plastics and any kind of synthetic chemicals in personal care and cleaning products. There are no guarantees but this improved scan is a great sign that all I’m doing is increasing wellness in my body 🙌🏼

It is super exciting to have completed my first course with The Nutrition Academy. It took me a lot longer than anticipated due to a few curveballs. Now I’m completing the Applied Functional Nutrition course and after that I have plans to study the microbiome & nutrigenomics.

This movie is brilliant - highly recommend watching it over the Easter long weekend.

“The presence of oxygen is the absence of disease” Another great quote from Gary Brecka and another step I’m taking to increase my wellness this year. Breath work. This morning I started with a Wim Hof guided breathing exercise. I think it’s around 8 mins in length but I only completed about half of it. I couldn’t breath hold the specific time either. I know I don’t breathe properly and if what Gary says is true, then anyone with chronic illness or autoimmune disease really needs to incorporate breathing exercises into their day. I’m excited to see the benefits. Today I had to sit for a 1 hour session at work and usually I’d be getting pins and needles but today I didn’t. I also feel like my lungs are more open and I can breathe more easily. Link to the breathing exercise is in the comments.
