The Skilled Health team recently had the pleasure of meeting David Bennie — an incredible endurance athlete, coach, and co-founder of the Parramatta Half Marathon!

David’s passion for running and supporting the community is inspiring, and we’re excited about the energy he’s bringing to Western Sydney’s running scene.

📅 The inaugural Parramatta Half Marathon is coming up this June, bringing one of the first major closed-road half marathons to the streets of Parramatta, finishing inside CommBank Stadium. It’s set to be an amazing event for runners of all levels so check it out and join the fun!

As we wrap up the year, Skilled Health is so proud of what our Vietnamese Women’s Group has achieved over the past 12 months.

For many of these women, living with a mental health diagnosis has made it difficult to feel connected, confident, or truly part of the community. This group has challenged that. We’ve watched friendships form, confidence grow, and a real sense of belonging develop — something that hasn’t always come easily.

A heartfelt thank you to the facilitators, therapist team and amazing support workers whose collaboration, patience, and care helped build trust and encourage participation. Your role has been so important in making this group a safe and welcoming space.

To the women — seeing how far you’ve come has been incredibly inspiring. What a privilege to be part of your journey ❤️
