Here are some things to try:
⏱️ Delay acting on the urge to smoke or v**e for at least 5 minutes - it will pass.
🧘 Deep breathe in and out slowly.
💧 Drink Water by sipping slowly.
🏃‍➡️ Do some physical activity - even in short bursts.
🫂 Talk to a family member, friend or Quitline counsellor.
🫶 Remind yourself why you are quitting.

📱 Take advantage of tech by using apps or other digital tools to help track your habit
💊 Speak to your physician if it's advisable for you to take non-ni****ne medication
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Get support from your friends and family, especially if they still partake of the habit
🏥 Seek help from your local community pharmacy by asking about smoking cessation programs or products. They may also advise you on what method may work best given your lifestyle
📞 Speak to an agent from the Queensland Quitline by calling (13 78 48). All calls are free and confidential, and can give you advice and information on quitting

Whichever method you try, be proud that you've taken the first step. Your body and your future will thank you!
