If you are looking for a gentle way to improve flexibility, strength and balance without getting down on the floor, then my 5-Week Chair Yoga Classes are the perfect place to start!

Chair Yoga is a safe, supportive and accessible form of yoga done seated or standing, using a chair for support — making it ideal for all abilities.

🌾Step into my peaceful sanctuary and experience the healing power of Restorative Yoga to help calm the mind, release tension, and reset the nervous system.
🌾Melt into fully supported poses, unwind with calming breathwork, and drift into a guided Yoga Nidra meditation with warm packs and lavender eye bags. Complete the experience with an optional herbal tea.
🌾This restorative yoga session is especially beneficial for reducing anxiety, improving sleep, calming the mind, supporting emotional wellbeing, and replenishing energy levels. As a Chair Yoga specialist, I warmly invite you to join me in my studio for 5-weeks of nourishing yoga.

🪑WHEN: Tuesdays, 9.30-10.30am, 3/3-31/3
and/or
Wednesdays, 9.30-10.30am, 4/3-1/4

Chair Yoga is a safe and effective way of practicing yoga using the support of a chair in both seated and standing poses. No getting up and down from the floor and you don't need to be flexible to join these classes!

Classes are suitable for everyone and focus on:
🪑Strength training to build muscle mass
🪑Bone health and balance to prevent falls
🪑Joint health and mobility to keep the body resilient
🪑Brain health to build cognitive resilience and natural defenses against age-related decline
🪑Flow systems to enhance circulation and improve regeneration
🪑The nervous system to soothe and reduce chronic stress, lower cortisol and foster relaxation.
🪑Your inner guide connection through mindful breath work and movement. This will help you to recognise the body's needs and warning signals as you move through each stage of life.

This is a special class for anyone new and curious about trying Chair Yoga with me in my studio.
If there is enough interest, I will offer a regular Chair Yoga series on Wednesday mornings.
Chair Yoga is a safe way of practicing yoga using the support of a chair in seated and standing poses. No getting up and down from the floor, whilst still experiencing a good workout.
My classes focus on:

Offering new yoga classes for 2024.....Restorative Yoga at Lilyfield Cottage is located on a beautiful acreage in Long Beach and is a private yoga studio for women of all experience levels. Roxane is an experienced Hatha and Restorative Yoga teacher and has been teaching from her home-based studios since 2007. Classes are offered as on-going short courses to help encourage a regular practice that offers flexibility without membership fees. All courses are designed around a mini-focus to help guide and educate a student's awareness of the mind/body connection and its role in maintaining optimum health and well-being. Restorative Yoga at Lilyfield Cottage in Long Beach is offering private group sessions of nurturing and deeply relaxing restorative yoga.
Restorative yoga uses props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate relaxation of the nervous system, a release of muscular tension, a boost to the immune system and increased well-being.
Each one-and-a-half hour session will include a short breathing practice, a sequence of restful restorative poses and a deeply relaxing guided meditation. A herbal tea completes the experience.
The cost of these sessions is: $60.00pp for two people, $55.00pp for three people, $50.00pp for four people, $45.00pp for five to seven people.
