Don’t Die With The Music Inside.
I was interviewed by Jim C***s and we spoke about something that has shaped my life in a big way:
Leaving the trade behind.
Not just the work, but the identity.
Because the hardest part of growth isn’t learning new skills.
It’s letting go of the version of you that once kept you safe.
For a long time, I had one foot in both worlds.
One part of me wanted more: freedom, purpose, impact, growth.
But another part of me kept a quiet Plan B.
And here’s what I learned:
Plan B can keep you stuck in Plan A forever.
Self-image is everything.
If you still see yourself as the old version of you, you’ll keep recreating old results.
Initiative is the turning point.
Confidence doesn’t come first. Action does.
No Plan B doesn’t mean reckless.
It means:
I’m no longer negotiating with the old version of me.
If you’re in a transition right now, this is your reminder:
You don’t become the new version of you by wishing.
You become them by committing.
Don’t die with the music inside.
