✨️Today we said a very special see you soon to our beautiful speech pathologist Camelia as she heads off on maternity leave, ready to welcome her third little love.❤️

We celebrated with a team lunch filled with laughs, hugs and all the feels, and were lucky enough to have some very special visitors drop by too. The perfect way to send Camelia off.💕

Camelia, you are such a valued part of our team and we will miss you so much while you soak up those newborn cuddles. Wishing you and your family all the love as you begin this next chapter. We cannot wait to meet your newest little one

💛✨️Our first team lunch for 2026✨️💛

Last week we had a chance to slow down, connect, share a laugh, and welcome some new faces to our team!

Moments like these remind us how important it is to make space for connection as we head into a busy year. We are so grateful for a team that supports one another, celebrates the small wins, and shows up every day for the children and families we work with.

Here is to growing together, learning from each other, and starting the year feeling connected and supported.

Regulation tools are not about distraction or keeping children quiet.

They support the body and brain to feel calm, organised, and ready to engage.
When children have access to the right tools, they can meet sensory needs, manage big feelings, and stay connected to the moment.
What helps will look different for every child, and that is okay.

Using regulation tools proactively can support focus, emotional safety, and participation across home, school, and therapy settings.

After school can be one of the most challenging parts of the day for children.

By the time they walk through the door, they have often used up their emotional energy, attention, and self regulation skills.

Simple, predictable strategies at home can make a big difference. A calmer afternoon routine helps children feel safe, regulated, and ready to reconnect, especially after a long day of learning, listening, and social problem solving.

Small changes can support smoother afternoons, fewer meltdowns, and more positive connection time with your child.

✨️WE’RE HIRING A THERAPY ASSISTANT✨️

Looking for work that actually feels meaningful while you study Speech Pathology?

Our Therapy Assistants tell us they feel supported, confident in their role, and genuinely part of the team. You are guided, not thrown in, and you always know what you are working towards and why it matters.

This role is perfect for a Speech Pathology student wanting hands on experience, clear direction, and work that fits around uni life. You will be working Mondays and Tuesdays in a clinic that values growth, teamwork, and doing things properly.

If you want to make a real difference while learning alongside experienced clinicians, we would love to hear from you.

Strategies to Support School Anxiety

Feeling nervous about school is normal, and a little support can go a long way. Here are some tips to help children step into the classroom with confidence:
Validate their feelings: “It’s okay to feel nervous. Lots of kids feel this way!”
Visit the school together: Walk the grounds and talk about where they’ll play or eat lunch.
Plan fun connections: Organise a playdate with a classmate before school starts.
Focus on the positive: Chat about what they’re excited to learn or do.
Practice separation: Start with small, low-pressure times apart to build confidence.

Small steps today can lead to big confidence tomorrow!

School Anxiety: What We See vs. What’s Underneath

Sometimes the signs are obvious, other times they’re hiding a bigger story.

What we see:
School refusal
Stomach aches
Avoiding discussions about school
Not sleeping
Big emotions
What might be underneath:
Unfamiliar faces
Learning difficulties
Separation anxiety
Sensory overload
Friendship worries
Loud classrooms

Understanding the “why” behind these behaviours helps us support children to feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
