Hey there, I have added a few new additions to Jade Rose Yoga's Youtube account. Including a Yin Yoga class for Men.
This class is focussed on the earth element & water elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically the stomach & spleen meridians as well as the kidney and bladder meridians. We, therefore, target the lower back, quadriceps, hamstrings & hips. This class is catered for men because I created this sequence specifically for my partner Ben. He is a regular gym goer and tends to get quite tight from all the squats and deadlifts! Therefore, this is a great class to do if you are also a man who loves the gym, or simply with the men in your life! Although, in saying that, it is of course open and welcome to all genders and levels! Let me know how you go! Mish xx

After many years, I finally put together a blog post about my first ever Vipassana Meditation course experience back in 2015. I wrote this all out when I came out of the course, and it filled up over 10 pages in my journal at the time.
When I look back upon this entry even today, seven years later. I find it to be an insightful read and important step on my spiritual path.
Many of the meditation techniques I teach today were discovered within this course, and it really did shape who I am and how I face adversity differently today. I have now completed a total of 2 of these courses and will eventually go back to do another when the time aligns! It’s challanging but so amazing.
If you are interested in meditation or Vipassana courses - head to my website via the links in my profile to read this via the blog tab. 💚

Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of fear.
She let go of judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head. She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn’t ask anyone for advice.
She didn’t read a book on how to let go. She just let go. She let go of all the memories that held her back.
She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go.
She didn’t journal about it. She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.
She made no public announcement.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go.
She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.
No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort. There was no struggle.
It wasn’t good. It wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that. In the space of letting go, she let it all be.
A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.

Let go of the ways you thought life would unfold... the holding of plans or dreams or expectations. Let it all go.
Save your strength to swim with the tide.
The choice to fight what is here before you now, will only result in struggle, fear, and desperate attempts to flee from the very energy you long for.
Let go. Let it all go and flow with the grace that washes through your days whether you received it gently or with all your quills raised to defend against invaders.
Take this on faith; the mind may never find the explanations that it seeks, but you will move forward nonetheless.
Let go, and the wave’s crest will carry you to unknown shores,
beyond your wildest dreams or destinations.
Let it all go and find the place of rest, peace and certain transformation.
- Poem by Danna Faulds

Be true to your own nature.
Rather than pretend we are someone else or try to be someone who others expect us to be. It’s important to stay true to who you are. Listen to your own intuition, be guided by what feels true for you and always follow your heart, while staying true to your own moral compass. By acting this way, you follow and connect to your own true nature. “Ones own path even if imperfect, is better than another’s path followed perfectly. By carrying out action in accord to ones own nature one cannot go wrong.” Chapter 18, Text 47 ✨💚
This wisdom is paraphrased from, ‘The Bhagavad Gita,
Eknath Easwaran’. It’s a famous yogic book I’ve been re - reading, along with the Upanishads. I’m a real nerd when it comes to yoga books 📚 Yet, I feel called to read them again because these spiritual texts, specifically the Bhagavad Gita, feel so relevent & supportive for me lately, considering everything going on in the world right now!
I like that this story is set on a battle-field and the main character Arjuna, a warrior, really doesn’t want to fight because he has loved ones on both sides of this battle. There is this great divide and inner conflict, which actually leads him into a deep depression. Where he’s having to fight against people he loves and either way, there will be suffering. With so much divide going on even amidst friends, families and people we love today. What could be more relevant? Than a story like this?
The take away for me is to come back to love. To return back to your heart and to see everyone through the eyes of love. To know, that everyone is just doing their best. Hopefully, listening to their own inner compass too. Regardless of if someone acts differently to you. Be compassionate, see them through these eyes of love. Or in this text, they say, ‘see the eternal self in all’.
Be compassionate, be love. 💚 But also, have the skill of a warrior. Stay true to your own moral compass, yet always behold this with loving awareness beneath.✨In your heart you know the way forward. Trust yourself.

In 2017, my Father was diagnosed with stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer, which soon progressed to his lungs. After only 6 Months of being diagnosed he past away dying at age 62.
At the time I was studying to be a Paramedic; a high pressure, high stress job, which I’m certain would be rewarding in many ways. I wanted to be responsible and I also wanted to help people who are suffering, I yearned to be a light in others darkest days. I was doing very well at my studies, but I was very stressed out and uncertain if it was the right career path for me.
My Father had advised me to stop studying and rather follow my dreams of teaching Yoga. “You are a spiritual Yoga Teacher, Manisha Rose”, he would tell me. “Go after your dreams.” He was the only one who truly seemed to support my real passion; which is, and always has been; Yoga.
When Dad died. Something big shifted within me. I decided at that point that I didn’t want to live the rest of my life not having joy every single day in whatever I was doing. I quit studying and returned to the profession of Yoga.
I felt inspired to one day be able to create an amazing space, my own Yoga Business where people can come and practise with me, feeling safe, held and connected. I knew this was still a pathway where I could be a light for others in times of darkness, only through something that is more significant to me, through something that’s actually been there for me in my own darkest moments. Through the practise of Yoga.
Yoga has always been something I turn to in dark times, whether it be through my meditation practise, discovering yogic philosophy, attending a strong vinyasa class or connecting with other likeminded souls at events or workshops.
I want to share my knowledge and passion for Yoga with others, so that others can also utilise this healing modality in their own times of need.
My Father also loved his three children and his boat. He named his boat, “Jade Rose”, after my Sister and I’s Middle names. I wanted to carry on his legacy via something that’s meaningful to me.
Jade Rose Yoga is about experiencing joy daily, having courage and mostly; following your dreams.
