Autumn Equinox, a time of perfect balance between light and dark before we shift into the cooler months. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), autumn is associated with the Metal Element, which governs the Lungs and Large Intestine, representing letting go, clarity, and transformation. Just as trees shed their leaves, this season invites us to release what no longer serves us—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

My relationship with exercise has evolved so much over the years.
It started as a way to quiet anxiety and escape the constant chatter in my mind.
Movement helped me reconnect with my body when my nervous system felt overwhelmed.
But eventually I realised I was also using exercise to avoid what I was feeling.
Healing didn't come from just one thing.
Therapy
Kinesiology
Energetic work
Nervous system awareness
Nutritional changes
Because we are multi-layered beings.
Now movement isn't escape for me.
It's connection.

How many of us were taught that being busy, exhausted, or constantly pushing was the sign that we were doing life “right”?

Something that came up yesterday in a quantum session that I thought I would share.

No fluff, it's Self Love and Self Care!

Self-care isn’t bubble baths and candles.
(They’re lovely… but that’s not the whole story.)

Self-care is doing the hard things.
The uncomfortable things.
The things that build the life you actually want.

Self-love is:
• Eating the nourishing food your body needs even when sugar feels like “comfort.”
• Training your body — even when motivation is low.
• Going to bed instead of scrolling.
• Drinking the water.
• Booking the appointment.
• Having the honest conversation.

Self-care is sitting in the heavy emotions instead of numbing them.
It’s allowing the grief.
The anger.
The disappointment.
And moving through it — not around it.

Self-love is putting yourself first so you’re not constantly giving from an empty cup.
It’s saying no.
It’s setting boundaries.
It’s choosing growth over comfort.

It’s not always pretty.
It’s not always soft.

But it is powerful.

Because self-care isn’t about escape.
It’s about responsibility.
Self-love isn’t indulgence.
It’s discipline with compassion.

And that’s where real transformation begins. 🌿

If fear wasn’t driving the wheel… what would you choose?

Would you still walk the same career path
—or is there a quieter truth inside you waiting to be heard?
For myself, my answer is 'Yes'. However there is still Fear there to go bigger and expand on it.

Sometimes fear disguises itself as security.
But alignment feels very different to “playing it safe”.
Pause. Breathe.
And ask yourself the question honestly. 💭

What would you choose if fear wasn’t in the room?
