When craft meets culture, magic happens! šŸ’«šŸ’«šŸ’«
Our participants had a blast creating their own lagerphones—aka monkey sticks, mendozas, zob sticks… whatever you call them, they definitely bring the jingle!
A little Aussie bush tradition with a whole lot of rhythm šŸŽµšŸŽ¶šŸŽµšŸŽ¶

šŸ• Ah, pizza… a slice of heaven that never disappoints!
Why not raise your crust game with this effortless homemade pizza dough? Quick to whip up, fun to top, and guaranteed to impress. Bonus points if you master the dramatic dough toss!
What’s your go-to pizza topping combo? šŸ„šŸ§„šŸ§€šŸ

Easy Homemade Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
šŸ”ø 1 cup warm water
šŸ”ø 1/2 tablespoon of active dry yeast
šŸ”ø 1 teaspoon white sugar
šŸ”ø 2 & 1/2 cups of all purpose flour (sifted)
šŸ”ø 2 tablespoons olive oil
šŸ”ø 1 teaspoon salt

Method:
1. Preheat you oven to 230 C and add your pizza stone or flat oven tray into the oven to get hot.
2. Add the yeast and sugar to the warm water in either a bowl or tall cup. Mix lightly and let stand for approx. 10 minutes until risen and foamy on top.
3. In a large bowl, add the flour, oil, salt and yeast mixture together a mix very well. If using a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, let it run for 4-5mins. If mixing by hand, once combined, remove from bowl and knead for 5 minutes.
4. Once kneaded, spray the bowl lightly with cooking spray and place the dough back in the bowl near the oven with a clean cloth on top to rise for 5 minutes.
5. Once risen, turn out the mixture onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into your preferred shape.
6. Carefully remove your stone or tray from the oven and place on a heat resistant surface. Lightly spray with cooking oil and transfer your flattened dough to the tray.
7. Cover with your choice of sauce and toppings, cheese is a requirement
8. Return to the oven for 15 to 20mins or until golden brown.
9. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before cutting.

Hi Tipsters!
Wow, what a weekend of footy. The Rabbitohs flogged the St Dragons with Alex Johnston getting one try closer to breaking the all-time record, the Canberra Raiders scored a miracle try in extra time to break the Panthers’ hearts again for their second golden point loss in a row, the Storm were too strong for the Bulldogs but have lost Harry Grant for a two week suspension for his shoulder charge, the Sea Eagles celebrated DCE’s 350th game in style with a big win over the disappointing Dolphins, the Titans look destined for the wooden spoon and have now sacked their coach Des Hasler, the Eels are building nicely for next year as they snapped the Roosters’ winning streak, the Broncos made Ben Hunt’s 350th game a memorable occasion with a big win over the Knights, and the Cowboys stunned the Tigers’ massive home crowd at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday afternoon in a high-scoring game to finish Round 25.
Congratulations to our top scorers this week with 5/8, Mark Ryan MP, Carolyn & Jamie from Tarampa Assist, Vicki from RE/MAX Victory and of course our ladder leader, Andrew Powell MP. There are now 2 points separating our top pollie from Divaan from Buddy Brewing in 2nd place. Is there enough time for someone to knock our pollie of his perch?? The last two rounds are going to be extremely interesting!
Don’t forget to do your tips for this weekend before the blockbuster Bulldogs vs Panthers game on Thursday night to kick off Round 26.
Good luck tippers!

Hi Tipsters!
Congratulations to Carolyn & Jamie from TTarampa Assistwho received our very first Perfect Round this week which earns a full BONUS POINT!
Then 5 people got 7/8 but the main game 8 of you got wrong was State of Origin, including 2 pollies, AAndrew Powell MPand CCouncillor Tony Latter who backed NSW – where’s your faith in the Queenslanders?!
That didn’t stop Andrew Powell MP from jumping into the lead – can someone Pip that Pollie next round?
We are past the origin period now, which means all teams can focus on the rest of the season with 8 rounds left until finals.
The Sharks, Bulldogs and Warriors found some winning form, the Broncos are on a roll, the Storm look strong, and the Panthers are making an incredible comeback to climb up the ladder.
And don’t forget to do your tips for this weekend before the Dolphins vs Cowboys game on Thursday night to kick off Round 20

"This is my friend Harold.
Not the guy in the man lift—but the man behind him, sitting quietly in his wheelchair on the sidewalk. ā¤ļø

Harold lives in the nursing home just across the street from our job site.
Since day one, he’s been there.
Every morning at 7 a.m., like clockwork.
He takes lunch when we do.
And he doesn’t leave until I shut down the crane and head home.

At first, I thought,
ā€œHe’s just an old man enjoying the fresh air. Curious, maybe. Just passing time.ā€
But something about his consistency got me curious too.

So one day, I walked over and introduced myself.

That first conversation lasted over two and a half hours.
And it changed me.

Harold, it turns out, is nearing the end of his life.
He’s battling heart failure and a degenerative disease that’s been eating away at his health for years.
But before all that, Harold spent over 50 years doing exactly what I do now—operating cranes.

He told me he never imagined he’d get to see one up close again—let alone watch one in action, every day.
It’s not just a job to him. It’s his life. His pride. His story.

He has family. Two daughters. A son.
They haven’t visited in the seven years he’s been in that nursing home.

So I made Harold a deal. šŸ’›

He jokingly asked if I’d put him on payroll.
I told him I couldn’t swing that… but here’s what I could do:

šŸ‘‰ Every morning, I bring him his favorite—a black coffee.
šŸ‘‰ Twice a week, I grab him lunch from anywhere he wants.
šŸ‘‰ And at the end of each day, I sit with him so he can critique my crane work and give me pointers.

Because no matter how good you think you are, there’s always more to learn.

And Harold?
He didn’t hesitate before saying,
ā€œABSOLUTELY!ā€

Now he’s not just watching.
He’s part of the crew.
He’s teaching again. Smiling again.
Living with purpose in his final days.

And I guess I’m sharing this to say:

šŸ‘‰ Don’t overlook the quiet people in the background.
šŸ‘‰ Don’t assume someone’s just ā€œpassing time.ā€
šŸ‘‰ Walk over. Say hello.
You never know what kind of impact you might make—or what kind of soul you’ll meet.

I’m so thankful I took that step.
And when the day comes that God calls Harold home,
I’ll find peace in knowing he spent his final chapter surrounded by something he loved.
And by someone who cared enough to see him.

Be that someone. Make someone feel seen.
It might just be the most important thing you do today."
